I’d add 6 YEC’s.

A Christmas tourney where you can lose matches and still win titles? Ahaha.

Dimitrov, Tsitsipas, Zverev are licking their chops.

I know you are Nadal fan, so I understand your frustration. But this isn't the thread to vent your frustrations that Nadal didn't win it by trying to discredit it. If you know your history, then you know just how big this event is. It's the same as those who say clay is a poor man's surface, because their guy didn't win as much on the dirt. Keep in mind, guys like Gaudio won the RG title, but were double bagelled by Federer at the WTF.

YEC 2003 RR vs Agassi
YEC 2006 RR vs Roddick
an inch away in both cases, heh.

Poor Andeh

Lopsided Wimby + Cincy ‘05 matches -> decisive but competitive USO ‘06 match -> nail-biter at YEC ‘06 -> beats him at Kooyong ‘07 (an exho, but a prestigious one)…….”he’s getting closer” meme intensifies…and then….’07 AO Semi lol.

Well, he was close to losing RG against Haas by those very same margins, and close to beating Djokovic at W also. This is part of sport, sometimes it really comes down to an inch here or there.

vs Haas at RG, he'd still have chance to break back. Not the same.
vs Djoko at Wim, well obviously.

He'd have the chance, yes, but the way that match was going, it looked like he was going out the door to me.

And lets not forget, his opening round match at Shanghai 2014, should have lost that one to Mayer, if that ball was just one more inch over the net. Instead, Federer going onto savage the draw and win the title.

Federer has the most match wins, by far, in the Open Era at the ATP Finals, 59, while being at 77% winning percentage where 56 of these wins were against the top 10 and 32 were against the top 5. One of his most impressive records imo.

Possible, but still some way to go. Under pressure for Haas.

oh yeah, poor Mayer looked heartbroken after that match.

@TheFifthSet :

I'd throw in the YEC 10 semi vs Djoko as well.
FH exhibition and excellent all around performance.
I have Fed with 25 winners+errors forced to 4 UEs in that match. That's a sick stat!

Pressure, yes, but if anything Federer was under even more pressure, which is why that Forehand is one of the most important shots ever hit in history. Watching that match, it looked like a straight set loss was on its way as Federer was struggling to cope with the fact Nadal was out. Anyways, will leave this topic here.

Yes, he was in tears. Should have won it.

Federer ended Nadal's 81 match winning streak on clay courts, he also book ended Djokovic's incredible 43 straight match winning streak

Federer has bagelled Nadal all three surfaces, including two finals. He has bagelled Djokovic in a final. He has also bagelled Murray.

Federer also ended Sampras Wimbledon run, after four straight Wimbledon titles. Stopping him in the fourth round as he went for five straight.

Borg thanked Federer for stopping Sampras equalling his five in a row....only for Federer to do the ultimate troll and equal Borg himself. LOL
