Incredible to think that Nadal is two matches from the 3 X 3 which would be awesome if not for Fed

Incredible to think that Nadal is two matches from the 3 X 3 (winning 3 different Grand Slams at least three times each) which would be an incredible achievement, considering that no other man in history has achieved this, except Federer, who has the 5 X 3.

Djokovic has a decent shot of achieving the 3x3 eventually, too. He should have achieved it by now, really. (Well, he should have won the US Open three times. He's done well to win Wimbledon three times).

He already is the only one who won 2 slams on 3 surfaces, and would extend this record to 3.
Exactly!

Nadal is the only player to have won all the slams and win multiple slams on all surfaces!

His slam results are the exact definition of exceptional.

at least until Djokovic wins another French or Wilander comes out of retirement and wins Wimbledon...

Federer has achieved the 5 x 3 in only TWO surfaces (hard court and grass).

Nadal has won at least 2 GS titles on each surface (hard, grass and clay). Federer only has 1 GS on clay. Therefore, Nadal has his GS titles more evenly distributed by surface than Federer. 2 GS on each surface >>>> 1 GS on each surface.

Stop pushing this garbage stat, it's so stupid it undermines Nadal's claim to GOAThood every time you try rolling it out.

Federer doesn't have this amazing stat and so I start to say it is "garbage". Grow up Fed boys.

No, it's just objectively a dumb and misleading stat and not something anybody with any integrity would try pushing except if they are left grasping at straws.

Federer has his slams wins more evenly distributed than Nadal. You're the one making a weird adjustment to this stat in order to put Nadal "up". And from your posting history you look rather young to tell someone to grow up.

Why do you think that either of these is a garbage stat? Federer winning 3 different Majors 5+ times is a tremendous achievement, and I also think Nadal winning 2+ (and possibly soon 3+) Majors on three different surfaces is also a tremendous achievement.

Why does that matter if the discussion is about surface distribution?
its about surface distribution among slam winners and in the context of ATGs.
Wilander is not really in the discussion because he did not win all the slams nor is in the double digits of slam trophies.

You're right. But AO was much easier to win than Wimbledon.

Lol Nadal fans already walking back this terrible excuse for a stat because it's exposed when you realize that "Tier 1 ATG" Wilander also shares the mantle

I suggest you go back and read my original post.

I clearly said
"Nadal is the only player to have won all the slams and win multiple slams on all surfaces!"

get it straight...

From what I can see here, Federer has 3 slams on 4 surfaces, while Nadal hasn't even won slams on all surfaces.

I don't know what OP is talking about...
