Indian Moon Mission led by women!

..

..
LOL, CONGRESS FAN SPOTTED HERE!
Sorry, not a fan of any party. I thought I had criticized RG, enough. And I am not for any kind of dynastic rule. I've stated that too.

However, at it so happens the only time I have watched the news was during Pulwama and the short period after since my mother was following it. And I was shocked by how NM was putting down anyone who asked questions. So it will look to you like I am a Cong fan. Anyone who criticizes the BJP does not become a Cong fan automatically. I don't recall Vajpayee and Advani ever being like this.

A hundred sons and only one daughter? That would have led to a serious imbalance of the sexes. There would not be enough women to go to the Moon or anywhere else!!o_O

Something seriously wrong must have occurred with those test tubes!!
The test-tubes were okay. The mother asked for a boon of a hundred sons, or was given a boon by a sage. Then she asked for one daughter too. So we should be glad that in a male-dominated society she actually asked for one daughter.

The sons turned out to be very evil. The mother was asked (by the sage I think) to destroy the eldest but she could not do so.

All her sons were destroyed in the great war that followed. She then wished she had asked the sage for a Suresh but it was too late.

I think any extreme is bad. A democracy functions with a strong opposition. What is desired is a strong will to modify and change a nation. The will lies with the people. There was rampant corruption in France before the revolution for example. The strong desire for change has actually brought about the destruction of the dynasty congress. I would give the present government more time before making judgements. Some actions irk me, the others not so much. I am more worried about complacent masses.

She did ask....the sage said that such a massive test tube does not exist.

But what happened to the daughter? Did she gain revenge on her sexist mama by asking this sage for a hundred daughters and just 1 son??

Complacency among the masses is always encouraged, unfortunately.

Complacency of the masses can also be a good thing, if it prevents lynching mobs like those that used to kill low-caste people in India or Blacks in the southern US.

Apparently Australia rejected a space program as a 'vanity project'.

The thing about India's moon program is that it is quite clearly seen as part of their defence posture, which includes nuclear.

So you could as you say extend this logic to culture, but the real question is whether the defence posture of a country really requires a moon program or is it a 'vanity project' in those strict terms.

India also makes a lot of money launching satellites for other countries (including 192 for the US), and it needs expertise for that. Its neutral non-threatening foreign relations and cheaper cost make it attractive. This "satellite launch outsourcing" is not well known and I think deliberately toned down by the US and India to avoid controversy.

That's very sad indeed. I meant complacency in that the public should not be complacent when such acts happen. We must speak out and be moved by such occurrences.

Mobs don't behave the way you would like them too.

That is why some believe that too much political awareness is not a good thing.

It would be interesting to know how viable a business it would really be, however, absent state support and investment in it for other reasons.

I don't think that the opposite of complacency is mob rule. Mobe rule could even be seen as a type of complacency. It certainly doesn't take a lot of thought and organisation to lynch someone.
