Did you see Sam Q? He played some impressive tennis.

I think he plays much better when he feels he has "his peoples" behind him, at home. :)

Yes ... some of it, especially the second set :) I was almost afraid to look, and was thinking the same thing, especially since he's been doing so poorly this year, seems like last time he did well was at home in Los Angeles 2010, where he beat Janko for the title.

that was a good observation about Stadium 2 in your previous post ... Stadium 2 has been jam packed Sunday, Monday, now Tuesday for sure ... It looks as if it's almost the same size as Stadium 3 and both 2 & 3 are soooooooo much smaller than Stadium 1 ...

Berdych takes the first set comfortably against Bellucci, 6-3.

And Berdych breaks immediately in the second set. Berdych at his best: fluid and powerful groundstrokes, solid serve.

You are special.

My mother always told me this, but thank you for confirming her suspicions, Yoda.

I'm feeling another Fed-Rafa final. It's about time and the universe must provide, seeing how it gave us that atrocious AO final. The universe must make amends to tennis fans.

And Novak has to lose sometime, right? (Plus, I heard he wasn't that impressive today, despite the lopsided score in his match versus a flailing Gulbis today.)

Good gracious.

Always lovely to see Rafa sign the camera -- and change his shirt!! LOL! -- but some of those stats other than the net points - which were lovely - are rather abysmal.

The only thing I can think of is that he's experimenting with his game in advance of Polito (and that Devvarman played well, handling switchups I've never seen anybody other than Murray do).

I missed most of the match, arriving home at the end of the first set ... wonder if he still has remnants of the AO injury ... still, winning ugly is acceptable ... huuuuuge ovation for somdev at the end ... but he didnt even win a set from rafa, as dismally as rafa played ..... havent checked yet:

Has anyone taken a set from rafa so far this IW?

that's a big ask for a qualifier to take a set off Nadal and he's played 3 of them already. His next match is against a player with a PR and if he wins there's a good chance he gets another player with a PR LOL

Not so far.

Nobody's taken one off Nole either, which I have to admit does worry me.

(Also, I heard someone who made it to the Eugene, OR exho say he didn't think Rafa was moving that well. I didn't see any problems for him @ DC before that, and nobody's brough it up since, but ... you know me. I'm still wondering. :???: )

LOL.

All I will say is it's not from Scooby. I'm not really a Scooby kind of girl. :)

I know you say you are a Federer and Nadal type of girl, but I would suggest they are hopeless pursuits.

The well built burly Mirka is a harsh housewife and between baking swiss Strudel, uses her thick arms and her frypan with liberty upon Federer's head ensuring the gallant knight no longer engages in any more heroic adventuring (such as rescuing fair maidens of tw).

Nadal is a savage seafaring barbarians and would sooner bite his metal bounty, and tear the hearts out of the cultured noble gentry that is Sir Murray and prince Federer then settle down with a nice girl.

LOL. The noble Rafa is no barbarian; that is a perception of the hapless bourgeois who bewailed his assault upon the Wimbledon in the GMOAT and his defeat of the gallant Roger after a mighty battle.

Mine eyes did not fall upon the Mirka lo this evening in the box of the valiant and enduring Roger; instead, there was a seat left -- perhaps perchance for me? :) -- in proximity to him they call the noble Annacone.

Also, there is the Polito, who riseth in the ranks upon the healing of his wrist.

Forsooth!

A forwarning.
Many a young girl with heart to giveth hath been ensorcelled by the sheepish overcoat of this being of direwolf flesh, bone and sinew.

On the dark of the night many find themselves victims of an unbridled ravashing, and their sole consolation of a hollow promise and a hollowed innocence being two perfectly aligned waterbottles on the nightstand.

Where will the Men's semis and final be shown live? ESPN2 does not show coverage. Found coverage by ABC starting at 2 pm EDT both Sa and Su.

Unfortunately for me most streams don't work at my office. Only Ustream, ESPN3, and select others. Most on Fromsport and Livescorehunter don't work.

ESPN3 looks like they will have Nadal's match.
