Great win for Marat
Great win for Marat. Up next his fellow Russian whom he beat last week. Hopefully he can pull of another win. I'd like to see him do well here.
The TTC is showing this match from its start.
Nervewracking match....a very good win for Marat.
I only saw a couple points from his match with Davydenko, but it looked like he had Davydenko scurrying. Hopefully he can repeat the magic. I can see a quarterfinal between Safin and Nalbandian, which I'd have to favor Nalby in unfortunately.
didnt watch the game, but did moya give a fight in 2nd and 3rd?
I'm happy for Safin, he might be back in the top 10 pretty soon.
From the way he played in this match, easily top 10. At this level, he could win the whole tournament. He was playing fantastic. But what does that mean? He should be able to beat Davydenko, but you can't predict any of his matches. I have a good feeling about him because he's fairly healthy, moving well, and he's not sick of tennis right now. So he should be consistent.
His goal is to improve his ranking, and he is definitely motivation driven. H e says his knee is a chronic peoblem and he will always play with pain, poor guy.
The Last Samurai, Marat Safin?
