Its under way
1-0 Chaphan, on serve.
Is it on ESPN? They're showing a Hingis-Safina tape right now.. why why why???
No, its not, espn kills its tennis fans again.Makes me sick, showing a damn match recorded
1-1, on serve.
Exactly. It is absurd. Earlier today, they announced that the Federer match would be replayed after Henin tonight. That would be stupid too. They should show the live Paradorn/Jarkko match. The funny thing is that they never show what they say they are going to show. Another thing that bugs me is that every night they have shown both live matches except tonight!!
Its 2-1 Chaphan, on serve. What bothers me is why they have a tennis contract, they dont know anything about the tennis fan, someone else should buy the contract.
3-2 Chaphan, still on serve.
4-3 Chaphan, on serve.
Hot dang! Tiebreaker in the first set. Stats show a close match. espn stinks!
Paradorn takes the first set tiebreaker 73. Kid's playing good these days.
a month with the monks and the kid's blazin'.
Read his interview on the PLO web site from previous match. He says he meditates now and that it has helped his game. Looks like it sure has.
Still can't believe ESPN is showing taped matches that everyone already knows the results of rather than this extremly exciting live match!
so many break chances for paradorn...
wow ...P-Dorn hasn't broken yet in the match...0/10...its tough breaking from the ad court going against a lefty...
Looks like it's going to end in a tiebreak in the 3rd. What a match, and we can't see it!! Thanks ESPN!!
Why in the hell isn't ESPN showing this damn match?
Because they deemed it was more important to show a taped Hingis blow-out from yesterday.
Match point for Pdorn!!
P-Dorn had a match point at AD....but he can't seem to break him....like I said..tough to break from Ad court with a lefty serving..especially to a guy that has a 1-handed BH.
another match point for P-Dorn...but this time he gets the job done .....good for him....looks like he's turning some sort of corner...this is just the sort of match he would have choked away over the last couple of years.
Paradorn wins it 7-5 in the 3rd.
Pdorn finally breaks on his 12th break point on match point and wins 7-5 in the 3rd!!! Alright, Federer vs. Pdorn in the semis. I'm salivating!!!
glad that he's facing the fedex....he's only played him once but it went 3 sets...Nieminen on the other hand has lost in straights 7 times to Roger! P-Dorn has the firepower to do some damage against him...if he's zoning, I think he'll take another set off him, but I'd be shocked if he could pull it out...nevertheless, a promising step forward for the man.
Dang.. one break chance from a total of twelve.. at the perfect time.
Well finally I think I'll get to see him live this time since he'll get to play with the no.1 player. Hope ESPN won't pull any sucka$$ trick again.
well..who knows how it went...since none of us got to see that match point...maybe JArkko choked it away...I wouldn't be surprised, considering that he had no problem fighting off the first 11 breakpoints....then again maybe Paradorn went for it, as he loves to do!
I wouldn't bet on it. ESPN is showing one of the semis on tape starting at 2:30 AM EST on SUNDAY morning!!!!
this is best Master's showing since 2003, when he got to # 9 in the world....and only his 3rd Master's semi ever...never got to a Master's final though....and will be hard pressed to do so this time around....who knows...Fed has been as vulnerable as ever in recent months, and Paradorn is apparently is on fire..although I can only on what we've heard, as there has not been any actual physical evidence of it this week, thanks to BSPN.
Which other Masters semis has Pdorn been in?
Well I found a clip on Paradorn vs Nalbadian match and posted it here:
I'm searching for one on this match and will post it here if I'm lucky.
OMG, did anybody see that amazing get from Paradorn in this match?
He's been in the semis of Paris 2002 and Miami 2003...lost in both.
That point had everything. Paradorn doing the splits in order to reach a dropshot after a long rally, followed by Jarkko tumbling over the net. Good to see both the players acknowledge the point with a high-five.
Where are you guys seeing this match? It was not televised on ESPN, at least in the U.S..
It was televised in Australia on pay-tv.
great athleticism by Paradorn ...
that FH DTL while falling backwards ...
the best-built player these days, a la Bruce Lee ...
Ending and post match
Hey Marius, where can you see the match (at what channel)
Here on the Canadian affiliate of ESPN, they showed the match at 3am. It said ESPN Vivo(Euro version of ESPN?).
I stayed up until 11:30 p.m. PST following the match online. It was nerve racking not being able to watch it live. ESPN only cares about American players. They're more likely to show a Donald Young/Shenay Perry mixed doubles match than two foreigners with strange names fighting for a semifinal berth against Federer. I wouldn't be surprised if ESPN preempted the World Baseball Classic tomorrow to show more women's softball now that the U.S. lost to Mexico.
I think you can see it here http://www.atpmastersseries.tv/page/Home/0,,11444,00.html?from=atp
The matchs resume are good. I'll be surprised if you didn't know about it.
