Indian Wells

hello
I am just wondering if any of you have any advice for me.
Me and my parents want to buy my brother nice tickets to Indian Wells. We aren't really sure if we should get a grounds ticket on the early days or buy nice seats.
Any advice would be much appreciated.
Thank you

I would always advise someone to buy ground tickets for the first week because you get to see a lot of guys who are top 5+ and you can watch 8 hours of tennis in a day which is great.

Watching Federer or Nadal beat up on some guy on center court for an hour isn't really entertaining. Especially considering it's much more expensive for seats.

I've been there quite a few times now - it is a fantastic event. Your brother will love it!

I recommend getting Loge tickets for the day and Courtside box tickets for the evening.

During the day in the early part of the tournament, you will have access to all of the pros on the practice courts and the smaller stadiums. It is a very intimate event and all the action is on these outer courts. The Loge ticket is a little better than a standard day pass in the event that a great match is in the main stadium... you will have seats.

During the night, the tickets are significantly cheaper, and it is great to sit as close as you can in the main stadium to watch the big matches. The court side box tickets are fantastic and well priced.

Be sure to dress accordingly. The night can drop in temp significantly from the day. Shorts and tanks are standard for the day, jeans and a good full-length sweat shirt should do the trick for the night matches.

Have fun!

What day or days is your brother thinking of going? Who is/are his favorite player(s) and how much do you want to spend?

If he is going Tues - Fri of the first week, a grounds pass (which is actually just a really bad ticket for the main stadium) should be enough. He will probably spend more time on the outer courts and the practice courts on the first five days. The top seeds in the men's draw don't play until Saturday and Sunday, so he might be okay not having a reserved seat down close.

If he is going on Saturday or Sunday, then you might want to consider a reserved seat for Court 2 or Court 3. It's hard to say this far in advance, but sometimes they get good matches on those two courts and the reserved seats are a welcome break from the absolute madness that unreserved seating becomes on the weekend.

Also, the first four days (Thurs - Sun), there is a lot going on at the outside courts, matches last into the night and there is no reason to get a separate night session ticket unless you really want to see one of the main stadium matches, or you need to go out to your car after 4 pm (I think that's when they stop letting people onto the grounds for re-entry with a day ticket, but I can't remember).

Get grounds tickets for the early day sessions, and spend more for good seats in the evening sessions later in the tournament, when not as much is happening on the outside courts.

Loge?

Can anyone who's been there comment on the Loge seats? Can you actually see the matches well enough to enjoy it?

It seems so far way in the pictures.
