They would have a cow because they think they own the place and "back in their day, they went 5 sets with pistol pete" And "Back in __Insert Home Town here__" They were the unseeded no.2 seed"-- the secret? DW-40

Little do we know pistol pete's actually a geriatric in the nursing home who garners the nickname from being unable to "holster" his "handgun"

Good weekend of practice. Didn't get in as much as I wanted to because of time constraints on Sat, and mother's Day Sun.

Sat I got to hit about 1/2 hour of groundstrokes with alternating guys. Couldn't really get into much of a rhythm, but at least I was out there getting my depth perception back, getting used to sun and wind, and finding my contact point.

Sunday I worked on my FH a good amount, continuing to try to groove the straighter arm, and take the ball earlier with it. Worked on the BH aswell, but just a bit, also trying to get the left arm straighter, as well as the whole shot looser.

Biggest work Sunday came on serve. First I worked on getting a little more shape on the ball through the air, then more net clearance. I went to the wall, and marked off 18" above the net level, and served so that the ball hit at least at that mark to get myself into the habit of serving higher over the net.

After that I went out onto the court, and started serving from 1/2 court arcing the ball in, and then moved back a few feet at a time until the baseline.

Ended up moving my toss a bit to my right, so that it was almost straight in front of me, and then moving it a good amount into the court.

With the toss, I have to toss it, and let it bounce to see where it lands, because to my perception, it seems like the ball is soooo far inside the court, when it really isn't at all.

After about 20 minutes of serving on the court, I began the process of actually serving hard again. Amazing what I reduced to because of injuries, and habit. It is a bit frightening to serve for real because I am afraid of hurting myself if I mistime the ball, but I loosened up and started throwing my shoulder at the ball, instead of the racquet. It was pretty nice to effortlessly hit a nasty serve. For first day of serving practice, I was pretty happy with the result. With dead balls out of my bag I had a few hitting 6' up on the back fence, which more than made up for some of the spectacular misses.

Rested yesterday to see how my body felt after serving. Felt great. Will see if I can get some video in the next couple of days.

I know the feeling. Just recovering from a wrist injury and will start serving again real soon. I have been hitting tentative overheads...which taught me a lesson since I was apparently hitting them way too hard before..now with this smoother, cautious motion, I actually hit them better. Hope it translates to serves.

Bro's...dirty rumor is that JRog is switching to a larger head size to properly accommodate his reentry into the "Modern Game"

I can't respond to something that doesn't exist. Speak to me via email if you want.

It exists but you refuse to accept the depth of Jolly's influence on non material objects and spiritual delicacies of the mind.

Speaking of Jolly, I am continually amazed at the childlike love our hero has for the game. His texts lately breathe of optimism and pure sexi Jolly class. I hate to break the news without his permission but I am beginning to realize that Jolly has........sorry, I actually cannot talk about it. It wouldn't be right in this forum, you guys can carry on with the immature picture posts that offer nothing to this discussion.

I think most of us just want to see Jolly succeed on the courts this Summer without any big distractions such as chicks, Dennis, wings, beer, bad backs, injuries.

A healthy, happy Jolly is what we all want ultimately. I'm pulling for him...pulling really hard.

He has Mrs. Jolly now to keep him in line.

yea, actually he hasn't been seen in person for quite some time now...all his texts are being made while he's been locked in the basement under domestic control. the holy std's hired the jolly imposter making all his public appearances.

So Jolly is now married and using a bigger racket. This world is ending tomorrow.

I say good riddance. If this is how the world is gonna be it doesnt need to go on any longer.

Pickle,

I like that "under domestic control". Jolly has been placed under UDC.

They should add a feature into GPS, "warning you are enter zone of domestic control".

Yes, it was a tennis machine marriage. Jolly was caught playing mixed doubles with her and her tennis playing family forced them to get hitched. She plays with Prince so Jolly is now playing with a 110 sq in Prince these days.

If this thread helps just one person out there to become a better person, husband, brother son or daughter then we can say it was truly worth it all. Paul McCartney used to say that Lennon was "like having our own little Elvis in the group..." In other words his fame and influence was even beyond Sgt Pepper or that Hey Jude crap when Linda destroyed the music with her poor photography and secret stairwell pot smoaking.

So with us, we have Jolly who is like having our own little Borg or Connors: Jolly transcends even the most GOATable GOATs. This says a lot about the power of the Internet and the struggle we're all facing to simply make a difference in random Internet tennis player's lives. Jolly's influence is the kind of thing 60 Minutes investigates on nights/weekends, but never come up with a definitive answer. Its an enigma wrapped up and always eaten and enjoyed like hot sex in the morning or a firm and steaming microwaved breakfast burrito...

Believe in Jolly, the rewards are epic...I can testify.

Right, dennis. I also happen to know each of you personally, along with your FBs, and your mothers' maiden names and their favorite toilet paper, but I prefer to laugh at the funny stuff like getting trolled and being able to post about it esp. when I've got a support group of devoted fanboys backing my internet posts. *Also, unsubscribed. Thanks, see you in another thread.

i had the pleasure of hitting today with the one who is Jolly. as i was bludgeoned with groundstroke after groundstroke by his 2x4 of a racquet. i could feel the energy and excitement that he put into every all, as it resonated throughout my entire body and deep down to my soul. i can't help to be a better person as i became witness to all the weapons in his arsenal... explosive topspin, knifing approach shots, screaming swinging volleys, and incredible reflex volleys with the precision of a surgeon. i and all who were in witness were in awe. i had to muster every ounce of my strength just to stay in rallies as he gleefully shuffled and split-stepped toward the net to finish me off point after point. as if the sun peeking through the clouds on an overcast today, i would have small chances to probe his one weakness, but alas i could not keep a topspin lob in the court.

after i was able to recover my strength with a shower, rice and beans, and rest, i felt so empowered that i was able to fight off the oncoming apocalypse. no need to thank me.

if only others could be so honored to experience what i have, the world would truly be a better place. maybe tomorrow i'll cure cancer...or maybe not.

Dude, you couldn't have known me personally because I don't hang out with losers. My mom passed away but I would have liked to have seen her switched from Charmin to AlpineCadet as her favorite brand of TP. Maybe her last days in the ICU would have been a little bit better if they could have used you instead of Charmin. One will never know.

Why don't you just unsubscribe yourself from all of Jolly's thread?
