Initial Unit Turn : Having trouble turning the hips while facing the net.

The coach fed me an easy ball on the forehand side to check on my unit turn on the open-stance forehand.

He commented that my hip turn was good but I am turning my head a bit too much to the side -- I need to keep facing the net during the hip turn so that I can track the the ball better.

But I have a habit of instinctively turning my head to the side fence along with the hip turn. It feels a bit awkward to face the net while turning the hips... And when I did try facing the net during the unit turn, he said that I am not turning the hips to the side quite enough -- the belly button should face the side fence.

Do I need to just keep practicing this movement until it feels natural?

On the full unit turn, you have an open stance, your hips are facing the side fence, your chest is past the side fence, and your chin is on your left shoulder. Does that answer your question.

I have trouble keeping the chin over the left shoulder. I turn to the right side too much. Must work on that...
