Can I do interval training every day?
Also would interval training the day before a match inhibit me much?
I'm 16 and in good shape and now that soccer season is over I'm interested in maintaining my fitness and improving my recovery time in tennis as well as speed and endurance.
 
Most alternate days of interval training to give the body a chance to rest - especially with the added pounding on the tennis courts.

Doing interval training the day before an important match could decrease your tennis playing potential.

If it is friendly practice match, you probably could do the interval training the day before.
 
If you want to improve your performance it takes exercise, rest, and nutrition.

Intense interval training will temporarily weaken and stress your muscles. Only proper rest and nutrition will allow for your system to strengthen and recover. That's why it is best to usually have at minimum a light recovery day before any serious athletic performance. For instance, high level track athletes will increase their rest period as they get prepared to peak late in the season.
