Introducing Grapplesnake USA!!!

This logo is certainly the most beautiful and powerful in the tennis market... Do not spoil it with any inscription... Leave it raw and pure! And if you really want to indicate "tennis", use at least the same font (and same size) as "Grapplesnake"... Because the current font is terribly ugly and waste everything...
Thanks. The current inscription is consistent with the Neon Hybrid theme. We'll be making more shirts with different designs in the future.

Hit with Tour Sniper as well. I think there aren't a whole lot separating these 2 strings. I like Alpha better but not by much. Tour Sniper is little bit less powered. To me spin potential was very similar. Both feel absolutely great. Very similar comfort. I did not notice stiffness to be higher in Tour Sniper. I think Tour Sniper may also have slightly lower launch angle but like I said maybe it's just me but I do not think there is ton separating these 2... If I were playing at a higher level and generate ton of power than I can see Tour Sniper maybe a better option but at the moment Alpha gives me perfect control and power blend. I am also used to the launch angle that Alpha gives me better.

Thank you.
What is it in Alpha that you like more than sniper?
Sniper is really a good string, but Alpha was great. It’s soft, hold tension quite well and it’s crisp. Neon hybrid is also great, but a different animal.

I just tried Cube today, I strang it 1kgs less. Oh boy, this string is outstanding! What a bite on the ball. I would only recommend it to advanced players, players that can create high racket speed. i Just started testing today, let’s check durability and how well it holds tension. But the potential is great!!

Finally got around to finishing my reels of the Neon hybrid. Strung two rackets up with a hybrid of Black Code 4S/Irukandji, both at 47 lb.

First thoughts were that I had really good feel and comfort with it, pretty good spin too. However when used in a hybrid like this together, the tension loss of the 4S seems to have been made much worse, and the mains started staying out of place after only 4 hours of gameplay

Grapplesnake has some interesting strings I would like to test on my newly purchased Beast 100 o3 and 98 o3

My options are alpha and sniper.

I would like to know which string works best in which racquet. Also at what tensions.

Any advice?

Exactly. And it keep tension much better.
Alpha has excellent tension maintenance... I think i have 20+ hours on it and tension stabilized around 46lbs for a while..(initially strung 51)... in addition, NO trampoline affect, no erroneous string bed behavior. Playability is still very good. The only thing that it may have lost vs fresh strung is its spin potential but nothing major. Comfort continues to stay excellent.

Did you SBS it or are you just feeling the 46lbs?

Using the app "Tennis Tension" on android.. pretty good reviews... same app was measuring 49lbs one week after stringer (sat in my bag for a week w/out hitting) which i asked for 51lbs strung... so it's really not coming off that much anymore.. stabilized ... every time i measure it's around 46lbs... last was 45.8 or something... i would not claim to feel with such accuracy at all but having said that I do confirm that it's not going increasingly looser..

Only a 5lb drop is extremely impressive. I will get my hands on Alpha asap

Oh no you didn't... mine is coming wednesday will string it up with alpha right away
Nice, comfortable and powerful frame. Sitting at 348 grams now with lead under bumper, leather grip, and silicone. 31.6 balance strung with OG and dampener.

A lot more power than an Ultra Tour or H22 in the same pattern, so I increased my tension from 48lbs to 51lbs using Sniper.

Hope that helps you find a good initial tension. Enjoy your new racquet!

Thanks!... Interesting.. actually good news that it's not anemic at all with power... super psyched about it.. I think I will go alpha 51lbs... i use that in my prince tt100(310) and there is no way this is more powerful than that so could be a good starting point. On a separate note, do you find any difference between tour and alpha from launch angle perspective?

Good starting tension! I personally don't believe there's a noticeable difference in launch angle, with Alpha being softer and giving me a bit more power. I will also try Alpha in the Blade soon, and probably go with 52 lbs.

This frame reminds me a bit of the Speed Pro 360 18x20 in the way it feels when giving you that extra bit of power upon hard impact.

I will also use tour sniper on my new blade 16x19 (low powered string on quite powerful frame) and alpha on my angell 18x20 (more powered string on less powered frame) it makes sense for me like that... We will see the result... For my new blade 18x20 I choose a hybrid of rs lyon in cross and Tecnifibre ICE CODE in main. I'm sure this combo will be amazing ;)

Already tried tour sniper on my Gravity Tour and it is quite similar to the tour bite but with better touch, maybe a little bit less power and better tension maintenance. I preferred the tour sniper especially for the better touch... I think touch is the most underated attribue... This is why I am amazed by RS Lyon. For me this is the best touch a poly have ever had.

If I am happy with tour Sniper I will make a hybrid with rs Lyon and it will be amazing combo ;)

Cheers

By the way, have you tried kirschbaum max power ? How would you compare it with tour sniper ?

Thank you

Hi there,

Which string do you recommend that is comparably or better than Head Hawk Touch 17g?

I love Head Hawk Touch because of the excellent tension maintenance, good control, and compliments the Blade well.

How can you improve your game when playing with three completely different frames (and strings!)??... :unsure:8-B

Yes good point but I am on a testing phase... I will set to 1 or 2 rackets and string soon...and then fully concentrate on my technique.

But you know these rackets are not completely different frames, they have pretty similar specs actually. So switching from one to another is quite smooth I have to say

Yes, of course. Max Power is a good string. Tour Sniper has a similar feel, while being softer, with increased spin potential/bite and tension maintenance. As far as control, they are both similar.

Thank you it sounds fair. And power is quite similar or maybe a little bit higher for tour Sniper right ? I tried it again today and really loved that stuff ! It feels very consistent...

Tour Sniper will have a "similar" feel. Its strengths are control, and tension maintenance, which is what you're looking for.

Alpha would also be a good option if you're playing with an older, firmer, less powered Blade.

For the 16x19 Blades, I would also consider Cube and the Neon Hybrid.

How does it play in the Blade? I use RS Lyon and Max Power mainly. A little hesitant to try a new string that costs basically the same as these offerings, especially in a reel. I’ve been looking for a lower cost RS Lyon for years now and can’t seem to find anything.

I just received my sets of Cube. The packet says you recommend choosing a tension "1 to 2 kilos lighter" than what I'm used to. Yet the website recommends normal poly stringing tension. Should I go lower or not?

Thanks

Are you asking how Tour Sniper plays in the Blade? If so, I can tell you it's a very nice match. Hopefully more people will be able to jump in and give you more impressions. Power, control and diameter are right where I like it, and feel is super nice. You could try one set and evaluate.

Stupid question, if the mains in my CES Neon hybrid don't snap all the way back to the notches (esp the outside mains), is it basically time for a restring?

The CES mains are thick, and it will be relatively hard to break them. Yes, you will notice that they are losing their elasticity and life once they are no longer "straight" and returning to their notches. It could take a while, from that point, for them to actually break.

Hope you liked that set-up.

I did. I think I had them go dead relatively quickly but they were biting hard while good.

I'm going to try a hybrid layup with Gut/Irukunji next!

Yes.... Alpha is the same... there is no way i am breaking that thing, let alone get it to fraying.... here is how i know they are going dead.. (aside from spraying which is subtle sometimes)....
push the strings away from their notches and see if they are locking out of place and refusing to nicely springing back in. It means they are losing their elasticity (ie going dead). honestly mine still played very respectable well into 10-17 hours.... this is alpha btw.
