Hi LeatherBlade. You have great timing (or better said, I kept forgetting to jump over to this thread also). We just started talking about a new string TRIAX. You can see someone posted about it above. It is a firmer, more controllable string than HDMX. Some info & background:
Tecnifibre has launched a new string category called MULTI-POLY FUSION. I will call it FUSION going forward. The FUSION strings take our popular multifilament (polyamide) fibers - and we have been able to innovate and make multifilament POLY fibers. Here is where we apply the magic. Since these two fibers basically don't like eachother and try to pull away from eachother - we have found a way to weave them together and then infuse them with the PU you find in our multifilaments like NRG & X1. The best elements from both string types!
This creates a line of strings that fills the much needed gap between multifilaments & poly. More durable & firmer strings. The new strings are:
HDMX: a softer, plusher feel in the FUSION category. A good match for someone who needs a pinch of extra durability and a pinch more firmness
RPX: a remix of Duramix. A 50/50 mix of basic fibers - at an affordable price. Not released yet. A price point in the FUSION category
TRIAX: this is a special string and launching soon. While HDMX is closer to a traditional mutlifilament, TRIAX is closer to poly. The firmest, most controllable & durable string in the FUSION Category. I like to say it's a multifilament for poly players.
Keep your eyes open.....you'll start to see some nice opportunities to snag a set. Tennis Warehouse will have it soon and sales begin on 7/31.
I would hiiigghhhly doubt it. Willing to put money on it.So Medvedev is using it???
TRIAX will be a more firm sibling to HDMX in the Fusion/3D line (HDX Tour is now retired/OOP, btw).
@Tecnifibre Official discusses it in the mainline thread here. (Which carried over as a tangent from the Tecnifibre racquets thread, confusingly.)

He plays with Razor Code White. So Medvedev is using it???
HDMX has polyester monofilament while Triax is the first one with co-poly fibers, perhaps?but at tecnifibre HDX, HDMX and element are not already on this concept? with the use of poly fibers organized in multifilament?
Anyone have any specific questions on this string?! We may or may not be recording a podcast episode very soon dedicated to what it claims to do and if it in fact does just that...

Haha, true that my guy.since tecnifibre is concerned in regard to our arm health, it would be nice if they would also release some soft frames for a change
im quessing a "rebranded" Duramix.......Anyone have any specific questions on this string?! We may or may not be recording a podcast episode very soon dedicated to what it claims to do and if it in fact does just that...

Take a look at the first post in this thread and you'll see the construction in the pic.@TW Staff I can't quite decipher the description. Is it made entirely with polyester fibers using multifillament construction method? Or is it still made with traditional multifillament materials with some polyester fibers sprinkled in? It would be interesting either way.
On the official Tecnifibre website I also saw polyamide in the composition such as traditional multi but this one looks very close to co-poly string according to professional players members of the Tecnifibre team (look at the recent videos on Tecnifibre official chanel). All pros compared it to co-poly, not classical multifilaments (polyamide) strings.@TW Staff I can't quite decipher the description. Classic multis are nylon not polyamide. On the official Tecnifibre website I also saw polyamide in the composition such as traditional multi but this one looks very close to co-poly string according to professional players members of the Tecnifibre team (look at the recent videos on Tecnifibre official chanel). It looks much more firmer than traditional multi, much more control oriented and the feel looks like co-poly string with a bit more pop and arm protection.
Hi Michelle, I'm a long time Duramix user (16g and 15L), definitely multi user (currently trying Velocity) looking for more control and spin but keeping comfort and recently tried the new HDMX which was nice, crispier, with more control and spin but less durable than Duramix which doesn't last long also. I preferred the comfort of Duramix 16g compared to HDMX 16g. This last one is firmer at same tension.Anyone have any specific questions on this string?! If it's any consolation you could only order 2 at most and the amount was very limited to begin with.I missed that these were part of the Happy Hour deal for $5 a set! #sadpanda
Hmm.Classic multis are nylon not polyamide.
I stand corrected. Thank you!Hmm.
"Polyamide" is a generic term for a class of polymers. Nylon is a member this class.

[me=> not a chemist, but I'm good at looking stuff up]
NXT Control is a firmer and more control oriented multi but it doesn't play like a poly. And it doesn't have a lot of spin, same for almost every multis. HDMX has better spin. What about Wilson NXT Control? That string has poly fibers as well.
