Any thoughts on tethering vs getting lte on a new mini? Lte costs 130 plus an extra 10 a month. Wifi doesn't have gps chip in it. Lte is 4g. If I tether, it'll be to a 4s with 3G. Any thoughts tennis fans?

I think having LTE on an ipad is just a waste of money. 90% of places have wifi these days.

Blaxican10s is right. Most places now a days have Wi-Fi just about everywhere. It all depends on your situation here. A couple questions below :

    1. What are you planning on doing with the 4gLTE?
    2. How often is the data going to be used as well as the tablet?
    3. Does your area have LTE availability?
    4. Are you going to be on the go while using the data? ( GPS? )

The iPhone 4S has HSPA+, which is not 3G but very similar. Just think of it as a faster 3G. Tethering could drain your iPhones battery also so you should be prepared to start charging as its used. Whats your data cap up to? Tethering can use plenty of data depending on how its used. Overall, it's all based on situation and usage.
