Hi guys. So i think i found a racquet that i am going to buy. I went and measured my grip size and it's 4 1/4 with 4 1/8 being slightly better fit then 4 1/4 but both perfect really

I was able to fit index finger perfectly in 4 1/4 and 4 1/8 with 4 1/8 being more tighter, snugger fit for my index finger. My hand size is medium when i buy gloves of any kind if that helps any.

The racquet that i found is 4 1/2 size so i'm wondering if that is going to be problem with handling it or is that too small of a size difference to notice?

Is 1/4 size higher for Racquet fitment from perfect fit a problem with handing during play?

lol...problem is the racquet is somewhat rare so if it would work for me i wouldn't mind snagging it. I just don't want it to fall out of my hands when i play do too being too thick.

I think I can take grip wrapping off and used some thinner one or is wrapping tape pretty much same thickness?

Two ways to reduce the grip size of a 4-1/2 to feel like and play like 4-3/8. Use a Wilson Feather Thin replacement grip, this will reduce one grip size.
However, if you use an over grip, you're getting back up close to 4-/12. Plus, when changing the over grip the Feather Thin will get torn up.

The other way is to use a Kimony leather tape replacement grip. It will reduce the 4-1/2 to 4-3/8, however, will play hard and harsh, plus with an over grip you will be only a 1/2 grip size smaller. The Kimony will not be damaged when changing the over grip.

Tourna pro thin is your answer. Quality grip and reduces one size. Better than other thin grips IMO.

Thanks a lot guys. That helps a lot. If there are any other suggestions for tape please post.

Wilson looks thinner then Tourna thin but i can't find wrap thickness on their packaging. Tourna says 1.25 mm.

Tourna pro thin has perforation so it has edge over Wilson but i wonder if Wilson is thinner and they didn't put holes as it so thin it will tear easily then. If that's the case i would conclude Wilson is thinner?

Hi guys. So i got this racquet. It's Babolat Pure Drive 110. GT? What is that? Unsure on a production year?

Thoughts for fast learning beginner? It's 110 size and 4 1/2. I held it and it feels fine in my hand. The grip wrap is Head brand so it looks like it has been changed. Didn't play with it yet. I paid $150 for it. Decent price/value?

Not sure if stringing is factory and what tension is it. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance.
