Most times of his career, Djokovics strength was more his consistency than being clutch at the major events. He was the guy who won Masters all the time and always reaching semis at Grand Slams minimum, but winning (compared to that) relatively few Grand Slam titles. Also losing many Slam finals when he was the favorite (2x against Wawrinka, 2x against Murray).
But now in 2018, for the first time in his career he has turned the tables around:
-he won just 3 ATP-tournaments overall this year, 2 of them Grand Slam titles
-he won more slams (2) than Masters (1)
-he reached just 2 semis at Slam level this year, but won the title at both events
I hope that from now on, he keeps performing like that in the slam category.
