Is Adrian Mannarino any good ?

Adrian Mannarino hardly gets a mention here, he must be the most under the radar player ever.
I find him hard to like but is he any good? He seems to hanging around a lot lately. Odd player.
Any expert here care to to say if he's getting better? Or good ? Or just lucky lately.

Who ever AM is - I'd say he's defo an alien of some kind ...He certainty gives me the creeps !

He's been a good player for a long time. His ranking is indicative of his skill. He's carved out a nice living playing tennis. I like watching him play. Unique style. His best attribute is that he's really fast on his feet, even at 34 he can move.

I think he's certainly underrated, and his game is surprisingly effective given the level of effort he appears, key word appears, to be putting in. I enjoy watching his matches because he is so different, and he is proof that even in the high powered world of the ATP, you can still find success with finesse and brains.

He's good enough to be a consistent regular in the 3rd or 4th round of 1000s and majors and occasionally win some smaller tournaments. That's actually a great career. They can't all be Fed, Nadal or Novak.

He is the living embodiment of the idea that you don't have to follow the cookie cutter approach that so many ATP players seem to take. And that goes for both his game, as well as his mental approach and even attire. In a sport where everyone says you must do this or that, he out there just doing what feels best to him, and making it work.

People love Hsieh Su-wei on the women's tour for the same reason.

I think it takes a couple of losses against Mannarino to figure him out, he beat the other frat boy Fritz the first two times they played, but Fritz has won in straight sets the last two times they met. I give the guy credit, I saw him beat Mussetti at IW, then Sinner took him out in straight sets. I don't know what this shirt he's wearing today is, but it looks like something he got at a yoga studio.

Wow from Hand injury fore hand adjustment, to Lulemelon shirts, and saggy strings this guy is one seriously odd chap.

Could also explain the yoga look but he found a way to compete well in the tour by going against the norm.

Nadal and Mannarino APDs could not be more different at one time 19lbs vs 54lbs for RG.

Dont know if he used the APD original at one stage or the soft drive at another after hand injury but this is what
is awesome about a player using the equipment and his mechanics to its limits and benefits.

To play at these tensions takes incredible ability for improvising and more so with the FH side which has improved.
He serves consistent 124mph bombs as well with great angles.

Just watched a bit of the match, and he looks like a wizard out there. He's just playing balls and angles that you don't see anyone else playing. It's awesome. He hit one serve on the AD side where he was closer to the doubles alley than the middle of the court, and he sent it so wide that Hurcaz was practically in the stands when he managed to return it, only for Mannarino to come in for the easy volley put away.
