Is Alcaraz THE worst #1?

For the sheer fact all of his weeks at #1 came due to Covid regulations affecting the true #1.

Previously the closest to this was Connors being banned from the French but Borg overtook his #1 spot.

Assume Alcaraz is never #1 again where does he stack up?

Rafter only has a single week but got it after the USO Triple crown and making Wimbledom semifinal. So then it goes to Muster and Rios both at 6. Again it was timing but Muster held a Slam and 3 Masters while Rios had a Slam Final, 3 Masters and a Slam quarter then 2 Slam quarters.

Alcaraz has held a Slam and 3 Masters for the first time then 2 Masters and then a Slam SF.

Alcaraz is at 28 more weeks than Becker and Wilander for starters.

So due to the circumstances of getting the #1 coupled with the amount of weeks make Alcaraz the worst #1 in history thus far? Or is he merely 3rd worst?
Nothing will match Rios.

And Alcaraz won Wimbledon over a reigning 4 time champ.

Alcaraz has already won Wimbledon, so imagine how many Wimbledon's he'll have by age 25!
Whereas Djokovic only won his 2nd Wimbledon at age 27!

Whereas Djokovic had only won ONE Wimbledon by age 25.

Yes, good thing you have crystal ball and know exactly how many Raz will have by the age of 25! LOL And what so special about this number anyway? Why cherry picking like that, choosing 25?! What exactly happens at 25, player suddenly becomes old at that age and irrelevant or what? What do i miss here? LMAO

Huh? I didn't say how many Wimbledons Alcaraz will win by age 25 or 27.
Just saying he's already won it, and his career has only just started....
He's got all kinds of things to learn and he's already won Wimbledon and defeated Djokovic in the Final.
It's probably the most impressive thing a 20 year old has ever done in tennis.

The more Djokovic studies a young player and his tendencies, the more he's likely to prevail. Djokovic has a record of 2-0 against Carlos since WB. Last time it was easy, and Carlos was playing well.

And most of Alcaraz's losses since Wimbledon were versus other players.... so its about Alcaraz's level being lower now, not what Djokovic learned.
Plus Alcaraz has been complaining about the court speed here anyway.

You do realize Medvedev was #1 right? And Alcaraz beat him pretty comfortably the last 2 times they played
TRUE! I can't understand the trashing of Alcaraz, who is just past 20 years old. He may never win another slam but already he has had a better career than most of the players on tour now, or the past 20 years or so.

If what were seeing from sinner holds true and stays consistent- I can see alcaraz taking a back seat to sinner going forward.

They met twice since Wimbledon, and Alcaraz lost both. Last one pretty....convincingly.
8 losses since Wimbledon, 2 from Djokovic (both meetings). You think it would go the other way had they met more after Wimbledon (at USO or Paris)? Didn't think so...

Federer and Nadal later never practiced with Djokovic. But Sinner does so, so we'll see.
Yeah this is true. I guess it can help the young players see what Djokovic game about too.

However, I feel a big reason the big 3 were so successful as well as being extremely talented was they were mental giants and also never got to close to each other on the tour.

he is not the worst but centrally the most undeserved along with medvedev! no one of them would be no1 if not for politics and ATP idiocy!

Borg & Hewitt won Wimbledons at 20/21. Becker won at 18 & 19.
