Is bigger grip size heavier than smaller grip size for the same racquet?

No pallet system: does it take more material to build the core stem for bigger grip size than smaller one, like Wilson and Babolat?

Pallet system: does it take more material to build thicker pallet? like Head, Volkl

For all, bigger butt cap

Hence would it make a no.4 size heavier (and more HL) than a no. 2 size, everything else equal?

Since it's unlikely that the manufracturer would reduce some weight in the upper frame to conpensate the bigger grip at the bottom

To answer your thread title, yes. The weight shown on the TW pages probably are for the L3 racquets. But it varies slightly for every grip size.

This is a very intelligent question which I never really paid much attention to. I'm also quite curious to find out.

Considering the variance between the specs of the same racket from the same manufacturer, the differences from grip size probably falls within the tolerances.

Anyway, I'd say yeah. The bigger grips are a little heavier....

I disagree. Except for Yonex, which has different weight specs for their smaller and larger grip sizes, I don't know of any other manufacturers that make their larger grips sizes heavier than their smaller grip sizes. In fact, I've had lots of racquets in which the smaller grip size was heavier than the larger grip size of the same model.

Funny thing is that my friend and I both own LM Prestige Mids. His grip size is 4 5/8 whilst mine is 4 3/8. We measured the balance and strung static weight for both racquets. His racquet came out to something like 10pts. headlight and about 360g and mine came out to 3pts. headlight and approx. 335g. Crazy, no? I wonder who does quality control at Head. ;)
