Is Celine Ok?

#3
In late January, the “Ashes” hitmaker broke her silence during an interview for “The Dan Wootton Interview” podcast.
“I want to feel strong, beautiful, feminine and sexy. If I like it, I don’t want to talk about it. … If you like it, I’ll be there. If you don’t, leave me alone,” she stated.
Despite Celine‘s brave statement, the body-shaming and eating disorder rumors never went away. This week, the singer finally shut down the anorexia speculations when she sat down for an interview with “Good Morning America.” The 51-year-old recording artist admitted that she’s “a little thinner” than before, but she said that it’s all because of her newfound passion for dancing.
“I do this four times a week,” she told People.
“People say, ‘She’s a lot thinner,’ but I’m working hard. I like to move and (weight loss) comes with it.”
Well, there you have it. The Grammy winner, who’s had her own residency at Caesars Palacein Las Vegas for the last eight years, has taken up ballet, which she credits with giving her such a svelte figure."

I just hope nothing is wrong, but I looked at some old pics after posting this and she was this thin at a certain time when she was young also, so I guess it's fine. If you look at her wedding pics in 94 she was this small too. She's my girl regardless I was just like  it's more that she looks older than she is

Don't know if you're serious... but I'll assume you are.

Canadian singer. Career started in the 1980s... primarily singing in French. Much wider appeal in English in the 90s...

Dion is regarded as one of pop music's most influential voices... a reigning Queen of Pop for her influence over the record industry during the 1990s. Her music and vocal style, alongside that of Mariah Carey and Whitney Houston, have been said to shape how the bulk of modern female pop vocalists sing. These three singers have been widely credited with reviving the power ballad...

You normally gain weight with age. Then, if you live long enough, the process starts to revert and you start to lose weight.
Yes, normally gain weight with age. Metabolism slows. Think the rule of thumb is 10 pounds every 10 years. :(
She is 50. Have never met anyone in that age range who has lost that much weight due to aging.

Never heard of "thin-shaming". Is this a new thing?
Always thought you can never be too thin in America.
Aka skinny-shaming. Can be as bad/offensive as fat-shaming or any body-shaming. TMK, Celine has always been rather thin/skinny. However, this new extreme Twiggy-like thinness appears that it might very well be a self-imposed anorexia.

She does look too thin. But she has repeatedly and vehemently denied any health problems and says she is happy with her appearance.
At first I thought the media and fans should just take her at her word and leave her alone... But pics are alarming

She admits she's thinner than before. The reason, she says, is because she's taken up ballet.
Body looks acceptable I suppose. But face is alarmingly gaunt.

Celine certainly has a genetic predisposition towards skinny. But she seems decidedly bonier at 50/51 than she was some 25 yrs ago (as seen in the wedding photo above). Can see it in her face and her fingers (slender before, bony now). Ballet dancers are typically lean/skinny but do not normally look this bony unless they have an eating disorder (or a genetic disorder). Mental health issues (link below)?

Even tho' I have a lot of gray in my beard (and some on my crown), I look younger, at 67, than she does at 51.

Nah, she's even skinnier than before. There would probably be wrinkles on the face if it weren't touched up. I can see sagging skin on the forearms like for really old people when they get kinda skeletal. She does look distressingly weak, man. I don't think physical activity does that to you. Remember nobody who is intentionally starving/avoiding food would ever admit to it. Karen Carpenter didn't. She too looked rather too gaunt and old for her age. I mean, she got there much sooner obviously but I noticed this before too with Celine Dion and she's hiding something methinks. :( Hope she gets herself some help. Somebody mentioned cancer. As somebody who has an aunt in her early 50s recovering from cancer that was supposed to have taken her away by now (praise the lord it didn't), I can say it's not THAT bad but she looks like what my mum did after she got TB and it drastically aged her. Especially the arms. Wonder what Celine is going through. She has the right not to let the people at large know about it, just as long as she is getting the help she needs.

I don't care what she says, she looks really unhealthy. Her recent pics remind me of those pics from documentaries on anorexia.
Or from WW2 documentaries (except for the clothes obviously)
I hope she gets the help she needs.

This question is open to debate regarding the literary legacy of his works.
