It's good that you guys can see into the future up to 4 years now. I bet it was probably the same after USO 2010 with Nadal fans. The fact is nobody can predict *****.

So what the hell are we doing here then? This is a tennis forum, the place where idiots like us come here and make predictions. :)

Some are more reasonable than others, of course. But people are saying Djokovic will win 4 RGs like its nothing, when the guy hasn't made a final yet. Undoubtedly he's the favorite this year, but let him get 1 before we go crowning him a better clay courter than the guy that has 6 of them. Period.
 
More accomplished Nadal.
Once they both step on court, Djokovic is the comprehensive better player (whether it's on clay or anywhere at this point). It was this way last season, it will be interesting to see how it will play out on the dirt this year.

Unbelievable how many people (30% in the poll!!) were ready to proclaim Novak to be the better claycourter than the claycourt god/demon Rafa on the merits of one-season domination, and even then the French still went to Nadal. o_O
Now that Nadal has mightily declined and Fed ceased being a factor on clay years ago, the clay season story is Djokovic vs Murray...:(
 
FYI Federer was never being a factor on clay.
Be sure that poll is result of fedreder fans who jumped on Novak bandwagon in hope that Nadal won't pass Federer GS numbers

You sound butthurt, mate.
I know I didn't imagine Federer being in nearly all important clay SF/F from 2005 to 2009, that's definitely called being a factor. Later, Federer still kept himself relevant on clay by beating Djokovic at RG in 2011 and winning Madrid in 2012 (out with "blue clay isn't real clay" whiners). He hasn't been important on clay since, however; had a perfect chance to win MC in 2014, Djokovic being injured, and lost to Wawa, which sealed it.

I'm not , none sane wouldn't think that Novak was better clay court player att You should know from MTF as well as here that all polls are biased and devided among fedalfans. You just choose to play naive

Newsflash: with Novack's recent dominance that sealed the notion of the Djokovic era, Novackphans have picked up a lot of steam in their attempt to dominate tennis boards like their idol dominates the tennis landscape (barren field :P).
Of course Novackphanatics would think he is the better claycourter. They think he is the perfect player in every department, moreso than Federer even. Have you never heard of chico? :D

I don't care, the fact is that Federer's bagel H2H against Nadal and Djokovic is positive (3-1 and 1-0), and that's all that matters when talking about shameful bagels. :P

At the moment Novak is better than anyone on any surface, but when they all hang up their racquets Rafa will be remembered as the clay court King and Novak hard court king, Fed grass king, and Murray... well.... :0-)

Painful truth for many is: Rafael Nadal lost to Novak Djokovic at Roland Garros. Ignoring that loss would be similar to ignoring Djokovic's 2009-2010 losses at AO to Tsonga and Roddick, for the same reason. He was losing to lots of different players on HC during those seasons, so it doesn't count.

Djokovic can never be a better claycourter than Nadal, in fact noone can. But, he can and will be a better claycourter than Federer, when all is said and done. Coupled with the fact that he has beaten Nadal once at RG + 6 times at M1000 level... :cool:
