I love novak djokovic, but sampras is the best of all time, plus who doesn't like Sampras? Also, like it or not djokovic is playing in an era where there is no dominant serve and volley player like sampras. I don't think that Djokovic could handle that style of play, however i think that he has the ability to win the U.S. Open.
Idiotic...again.
What is this, a ****ing joke. The guy wins a match against federer and all this forum knows about is " is djokovic better the sampras in his prime " " is djokovic the best ". Gimme a break guys, will ya.
This thread is hilarious, particularly the poll options.
Are there a lot of people on this forum that are not native English speakers? It is not only this thread, but I've seen quite a few threads here where an obvious joke/parody/satire/etc. is completely missed and responded to as though it were dead serious by quite a few people.

Yes there are alot of us who are not native english speakers, butwhats more hilarious is when you make such an obvious joke ( your opinion ) and yet - it may become reality in 5 - 6 years. I remember watching a tw show about cars where celebrities showcased their rides and one guy said - "oh my - I like when I use for example Peter Crouch who obviously will never be a good player in my songs and stupid germans ask - Who is peter crouch - with a german accent !!" ,
Now this was 2003. Crouch was englands first choice striker in 2006. So much about this ...
If that happens, feel free to bump this thread.
I'll say that I saw it coming all along, of course.
It's fairly hard to tell because players came from different eras, but I'd give the nod to Djokovic. After all, I've never seen Gus Sampras play.
It's alright Dink, I still love you.
Novak Đoković is certainly a good player but he has a way to go yet to prove he is superior to Sampras.
I like to see plenty of evidence in top flight events in order to evaluate and rate a player. While Đoković's form has been good he needs prolong this period and prove it is not a fleeting run of good form before I would be even willing to consider him a top 3 player.
I think many of the threads on this site relating to Đoković are somewhat premature in hailing his greatness.
Would you be willing to put your house on his winning in Cincinnati?
It's impossible to compare somebody who has only just arrived as a proffessional tennis player with somebody who had a career that lasted about 15 years. Why not wait until Djokovic retires before asking that question?
