Is Djokovic Pushing rather than swing free?

His strokes seem slower and more deliberate than years past, is this the racquet? Footwork? Old legs? I wonder what Jimmy Connors thinks...(Remember when Djoker would set up and take huge cuts at the ball on his forehand with this parabolic swing arc and you couldn't tell which corner he was hitting the ball to until it was too late?)

A glorified pusher, is that what hes become? Wow.

Why have arm surgery and come back like this? Its like Megatron having surgery to remove a few servos and coming back playing like C3PO.

His strokes are definitely more tentative. It happens once you reach the top, eventually. "Pursuing" becomes "holding off."

His weight...
He still looks skeleton

He's gained a few pounds Still looks to be a bit thin though. Shots don't have the consistent power and precision. Needs that 5-7 pounds of muscle he lost with that stupid diet...or whatever...depression.

Yes for sure. And the difference is more than 5-7 pounds..

Watched him play yesterday and his groundstrokes were extremely underwhelming. He plays best turning defense into offense at the moment. Not playing nearly aggressive enough unless he absolutely has to.

It appears that way...well, somewhat. He looked like he was nailing the ball pretty well at Wimbledon, but curiously, still not fully confident on hard courts. Perhaps, it will just take time to get his full confidence/game back - if it ever reaches close to his 2015/early '16 level.

He just needs to see fed or nadal on other side then he will feel motivated to attack.

If he sees next gen useless or otherwise he will push all day even if itll cost him the match
