The way he won against Federer down two match points and saving break points in the 5th set was unbelievable.

I always considered Nadal and Sampras as the mentally toughest players, but this match changed my mind.

Yes. Time and again Djokovic comes out on top of these ridiculously close matches. He may not have the relentless, never give less than 100% attitude of Nadal, but there is no one better at getting through tough matches.

I think when he's at the top of his game there's no one as mentally strong as him. But he's had stretches where he struggled mentally so I don't know if I would call him the mental GOAT.
