Is Djokovic wimbledon 24 draw is the easiest draw ever for him? And on the otherside his main rival has the one of toughest draw ever?

2R Fearnley guy in 277 place. No experience
3R Popyrin #47 just mug
4R Rune #15 good player, but he is mug on grass
QF DeMinaur. Djokovic own him. Hopman cup win means nothing
SF Fritz/Musetti :D This two guys show many times how they strong mentally against Nole :D
F FINALLY STRONG OPPONENT Alcaraz or Sinner.

Its the best ever possible draw for guy who is after injury. And sinner number 1 has one of toughest draw ever :D

His lead up to the final is terrible, faced the toughest seed only in the fourth round, but will face a top-10 in de Minaur, semifinal is trash, but if he faces Sinner as the No. 1, it's still better than Wimbledon 2021 or 2022.

Please remind me if you find any top-tier player with over 23% of his career matches against top 10 opponents.

If the percentage rises above 25%, may God bless him.

There is a reason Nole has the highest average opponent rank, leading Fed and Rafa by a wide margin.

Delusional and devoted haters should at least have some clue while coping with grief.

I agree, and even with his draws called "cupcakes", blame the other seeds not him, he's not shooting them in the legs so they can't play, they're just not living up to their seeding, yet they never get called out for it.

Only half correct, such as Meddy especially Rudd on grass are less likely to live up to their seeding.

You didn't need to add the "on grass" for round 4. Just a period after mug would have been spot on.

2019 Wimbledon would have been Federer's hardest major had he won it, yet it came 16 years after he won his first, that in a way says something. Wasn't Nadal's 2013 RG run the lowest (good thing) average opponent rank?

You could just say "Djokovic own him" for 98% of the tour and you'd be right. If that's a disqualifying factor, then there's no such thing as a tough draw for him.

I swear, y'all want him to go through
R1 Evans
R2 Opelka or another servebot
R3 Draper/Khachanov
R4 Fritz
QF Medvedev
SF Alcaraz
F Sinner

And maybe even that wouldn't be tough in your eyes.

No they want it to be like this:
R1 Draper
R2 Rune
R3 Dimitrov
R4 Hurkacz
QF Medvedev
SF Alcaraz
F Sinner

Probably would still call it a cupcake draw cause of Djokovic.

I get your point, but it's not that dramatic for a Djokovic draw. Actually the unusual thing is him not playing all night sessions.

Fritz on grass or Zverev on grass - hardly makes a difference

His draw had Hubi for QF but Djoker lucked out

First 2 rounds he had futures players but that is par for the course

For 3R, Popyrin is better than Etchverry

Basically the tour is hopeless in grass and any player who knew a little bit got put in one side

Djokovic didn’t ask for it , he got it .. so h you cannot blame him

And then if he wins all of that they’ll claim weak era :-D

Yes - it was a very easy draw - but it doesn't really matter. I will never understand why the 1 and 3 seeds are in the same part of the draw and 2 gets 4 - I get their theory to not have the same matchups every GS but given there are 3 players heads and shoulders above everyone else - Sinner should get to avoid Novak and Carlos until the finals - he is number 1 - he earned it. I am primarily an Alcaraz fan but he and Novak should have been in the same half of the draw.

If he doesn't have a good 2nd half of the year, it could be the last time though. Once Sinner and Alcaraz occupy the top 2 positions, it's going to be very hard for anyone else to pry their way in for quite a while I think. And that's going to mean Djokovic having to beat both to win a slam

W19 is the winner for sure, then AO 23 tied with USO 23

RG 23 as well for how it actually panned out

The thread title is 100% true. Sinner's draw is extremely difficult.

Djokovic's slam titles have been inflated overall with these easy draws.

Even though he has 24 major titles he still plays like he has 18 because he knows that people know it's inflated so he needs to win at least 2-4 more for a larger gap.

There was only one somewhat serious opponent for Novak in his half of the draw after Hurkacz bowed out against Fils; that was Zverev, and he choked away his 2-0 lead against Fritz.
Unless Alcaraz is waiting in the final, Djokovic is on course to beat Sampras's record at Wimbledon.

Djokovic is simply too good. The draw appears weak because he's so strong.

Do I get an A, Nole fans?
That’s a B- at most. If you want an A you need to show you understand the material.
here’s how it should read:

”Novak is one of the greatest players in the history of the game. He has won more slams, more WTFs, and more masters than any other player in the open era. there is no way to measure how strong or weak an era is so I will sit back and enjoy the tennis”

Meh. B+.

To move into the A-range, you need some mention of weak era talking being a form of coping for frustrated Federer (and Nadal) fans.

Is there also no way to measure how weak a Wimbledon draw is?

And the butt-hurt continues as Novak pillages his way to take Fed’s most meaningful remaining individual record.

And yes - I think Novak has benefited immensely from diminishing quality on the tour - probably effected by the social media dopamine addicting media revolution as much as anything else.

In any case, for whatever reason - even though Novak was quite a late bloomer in terms of his slam haul, limited by the big 4’s other members, once 2015 reared its head and he really started hauling them in, there was simply no ATG within a decade and a half behind him.

Unprecedented that the only person capable of stopping him at SW 19 until last year was a knee addled genius six years his senior.

But it is what it is.

And I - speaking for myself - will be more butt-hurt than I thought I would be a few days ago.

LET THE COPIUM FLOW ABUNDANTLY.

Let’s see. Novak’s 2024 W is the equivalent, age-wise, of Fed’s 2018 W. As we recall Fed, who I’ve been told is the Wimbledon GOAT, lost to Kevin Anderson after being ahead 2-0 in sets that year. Of course, this is Anderson, one of the sport’s greatest ATGs. Let’s see if the same happens to Novak this year in his QF match.

A "little help" for the former world number 1.
Wimbledon is paying an early tribute to Djokovic.

This is the only way the old man is ever going to win a slam again. Not meet Alcaraz / Sinner back to back. Beat up on clowns and mugs while Alcaraz / Sinner kill each other on the other side. Seems like the stars are perfectly aligning for him.

Well, De Minaur could be/could have been a tricky opponent. He's the sort of scrappy player whom it's tough to face when coming off an injury, but he rolled his ankle today, and given how dependent on running his game is, that's not promising at all.

Stylistically, of course, the Fritz SF is more similar to the Anderson QF, and if Fritz were to beat Djokovic the SFs, I think that would be a comparable result to Anderson beating Federer in the QFs.

Who told you Fed is the Wimbledon GOAT?

LIES. All lies.

Carlos and Sinner will have to get through to the final easy cause no doubt Djoker will. They can’t be going 10 hours out there for a semis. And sinner can’t mess around with Med either

Djoker isn’t going to mess around the
Next 2 Rounds

You didn't answer the question.
