Completely different matchup against Federer though. He can wallop the ball as hard as he likes but Roger is canny and knows just how to neutralize the barrage coming his way. But like you say, we'll see.

Stan can't live with Fed on a hard court, he's also got way too much respect for him and can't put him away when he has the chance. I think Stan will beat Tsonga in 4 or 5 sets but lose to Fed in 4.

We know Tsonga is a clown. He can't and won't sustain his level over 3-4 sets that is much needed to beat this Federer. So I prefer him over 3 time Slam champion (who also happens to be former AO champ).

People smoking something good those saying this is a fast hard court. Just watch Wawrinka's matches. He was getting enough time set up his shots.

He has never lost to Wawrinka outside clay. Surely Raonic who has won their last 2 encounters on faster courts and Tsonga who has also beaten him in HC slams are bigger threats? .

At the end of day, Tsonga is proven loser while Wawrinka is multiple Slam champion, also a former AO champion. I can't put Tsonga above Stan in threat list.
And Stan too was close beating Federer in WTF.

About Raonic,Yes he is dangerous. But remember, despite not being at his best, Fed was 2-1 up on grass. Here on hard court (Where Rao's serve not as deadly as it's on grass) against much better Federer, I don't see him winning tbh.

Most probably. But if he somehow makes it (all thanks to luck, cheating, chokes, Pascal Maria etc) then Federer is toast.
