Is Fonseca already cooked?

I watched the match loss against Tabilo, he looks slow out shape and all over the place whit every shot, he just looks finished.
I dont know if hs back injury is already cooking him or he just has the fat rich daddy syndrome

He's 19, I'm not gonna scrutinize his game until he's 21. If his rank keeps raising every year and game shows progress it's good to me.
From the beginning I didn't believe he would become a Carlos/Sinner caliber player but I would be dissapointed if he doesn't win at least 1 slam during his career.
Personally i recalibrate my expectations every 9-10 months for a young player.

He’s young but he already reminds me a lot of watching DelPo after DelPo had all his injuries. Huge forehand, yeah, sure, but he moves like a truck. Let’s hope things improve
He's not as tall or bulky as Delpo though, if he puts the work in the gym he should improve.

There is just too much expectations on this guy's shoulders. People are so desperate to have a new third man shaking up the Alcaraz- Sinner hegemony that they heralded Fonseca as being it far too prematurely.

It's not his fault, tennis fans/pundits simply need to stop being this overeager.

Young guys with a lot of pressure from "expectations", they may have some up-and-down period, that's it. Yet, a lot of talks about Fonseca, but I bet more on Tien ;)

With all the noise and mega hype and although I think he has loads of potential which I and many others can clearly see, he could easily be another......

Monfils, Dimitrov, Tomic, Gasquet.

Easily.

Not everyone makes it and sometimes it the least likely ones that do.

He doesnt have that tennis “elite” body type. See Sampras, Federer, Nadal, Djoker, Alcaraz.

Something is very off…like Milo’s Raonic. Kinda heavy with wide hip. :(

If Cilic beats Fritz tomorrow (a long shot, to be sure, but not impossible on today's form), then Cilic will be ranked ahead of Fonseca on Monday, despite being almost twice his age. Of course, Djokovic is also ranked ahead of Fonseca, but Djokovic is an all-time great.

Fatseca only starting hes 2 year in the tour

The team manager tried to reassure everyone and downplay the issue: "The lower back is the most sensitive part of his body and requires constant care. The priority is to preserve the athlete's health with a view to a long career. We are confident that he will soon be able to return to playing at 100%."

Fonseca after the loss: "The back problem never goes away completely. I felt tense from the start of the match. I tried to bring intensity, motivation, and energy, even seeking support from the crowd, but it wasn't my day. I lacked conviction and confidence. My body didn't help me play the way I wanted."

Not good

Over/under on combined Slam total for Fatseca, Arthur Fats, and Jack D Raper?

I’m taking the under at zero

Cilic is also 100 times the age of a newborn baby who will be #1 in 2050.

Wawrinka won 3 slams with a stocky build. Sinner has won 4 with his chicken body. Schwartzman had a great career and he is barely taller than the net. You don’t need some kind of specific body type to succeed in tennis.

This is the lowest-IQ take on TTW these days, that Draper is good on grass. Why? He’s never got out of the second round at Wimbledon. You guys are absolutely dreaming. He’s even admitted he’s not great on grass.
Maybe it's because he's beaten both Sinner and Alcaraz on grass? Not sure, but that could be it
As we're learning, Fonseca suffers from a chronic back condition. I hope he'll be able to find solutions for it, as his game is electric.
This

Also because he’s British and totally an alpha male and will win several Wimbledons

Call me when he reaches R3
:-)
Look, nobody is a threat to Sinneraz in general, except for the odd Djokovic rolling back the years.
Draper has actually shown that his best can cause them trouble => he gets some hype

Overhyped? Possibly. Based on nothing? No

They’re the same posters who backed up Rune as a serious challenge to big 2 in slams lol, now they found a new fraud

Thiem, then Rune, then Sinner, now Draper and Fils

Meanwhile pooping on the players who actually do the job. Zverev is a choker, Musetti a weaponless clown, Fritz a social media queen. Murray a hapless beta. Alcaraz a fake champ who will be exposed by Sinner any day

But they go crazy for Safin and Wawa and Ivanesevic

lol don’t know why the hype Draper, at least Z beat good version or Big 3 in masters and ATp finals
It’s like the metal fans who always want to be on the cutting edge and like the next big guy before he gets popular

Glory hunting is like coaching. You can’t just hop from player to player. You have to pick one and hope you ride the wave.

I changed my avatar to Musetti when Federer retired. In those days, I would get asked if that was me in the avatar pic. No one asks that anymore.

Musetti would be good if he didn’t get injured by a breeze of wind.

Hum beat him at Queens. And no need to start with the insults. What are you 10 years old?

Look, there’s only a few players who can play well on grass at Wimbledon. It’s best of 5 as opposed to best of 3. He is a lefty and has beaten Alcaraz on the hard at IW last year. So he is no mug and has the game to to unsettle Carlitos. Even he has admitted as much, it’s whether he can keep his body healthy arriving at the Slams - specifically Wimbledon and US, AO.
