Rune's all part of that big hype and all, but is he that good though? I feel like Jack Draper, Lorenzo Musetti and Ben Shelton seem more talented. Granted Rune's more consistent and is already top ten...
Rune is very good. What he does is patient point building. I don't think such players will be held back for long.
It's very bad patch right now but he would get back to top 8 maybe next year. He is 21 and it sometimes takes time.
He isn’t yet a part. Current big 3 is SincaovicRune's all part of that big hype and all, but is he that good though? I feel like Jack Draper, Lorenzo Musetti and Ben Shelton seem more talented. Granted Rune's more consistent and is already top ten...

He may not be yet, you are right. Very bad patch of his career. Is he though?
I don't think he will be dominant like big anything. His forehand needs to be far more attacking. Stop slicing the fh like Andy Murray."Honey, I shrunk the Big Three."
4 career titles, a 60 percent winning percentage, never past the quarters in a slam.
Barely better than journeyman credentials.
(.......and that mother!)
Are you talking about Rune? Rune's made 3 quarters of slams, and he's 21! 4 titles sure, but that includes one masters 1000 against Djokovic on a hard court! And there's also his 2nd place in Monte Carlo and Rome 23"Honey, I shrunk the Big Three."

He's currently in the top 15, and has been top ten for a year. In his young career he's already reached nitto atp finals. I know he's not alcaraz or sinner level but still quite goodA little early don’t you think ? He is currently in the big 30 for sure. Hope he progresses further.
Yeah, a guy who was #4 in the world at 19 is a "journeyman." The sheer idiocy is staggering.Barely better than journeyman credentials.
None of the dreary naysayers on this thread have ever even watched a Rune match but weigh in anyway. How about this gem: "Rune needs to stop slicing his FH like Murray." (!???)To suggest Rune will be anything more than a mug who never wins a slam like the rest of the next next gen is false.
Musetti doesn't have the credibility to be big anything.Musetti is older than Rune, achieved less and has been consistently ranked lower. I don't see how he is a better candidate.
I have watched a Rune match, multiple. I didn’t say the quote about Rune I just am of the belief that like the other next next generation not named Alcaraz or Sinner that he will fade into obscurity, akin to a Nishikori or others. He’s too much of a hot head and inconsistent to get anywhere beyond QF’s.None of the dreary naysayers on this thread have ever even watched a Rune match but weigh in anyway. Better to remain silent and be thought a fool than to speak and to remove all doubt.
Rune did reach top 8 legit by age 20. He beat 4 top 10 players to win masters.I have watched a Rune match, multiple. New Big 3? Who are they?Rune's all part of that big hype and all, but is he that good though? I feel like Jack Draper, Lorenzo Musetti and Ben Shelton seem more talented. Granted Rune's more consistent and is already top ten...
Big 2 are alcaraz and Sinner. Both holding a slam and 1/2 masters right now.New Big 3? Who are they?
Fonseca loading screen. Big 1.Big 2 are alcaraz and Sinner. Both holding a slam and 1/2 masters right now.
Not sure if there is a 3rd guy even in the vicinity.
WHO?? Do I have to create one of these threads again?? When will you learn?? Fonseca is on a different league...Maybe someone like Fonseca, Fils, or Mussetti.

What rivalry? Zverev and Sinner now my favorite NextGen players. No cringe fanboyism from them hom do you see as developing the biggest rivalries post Big 3, or even currently with players not in the Big 3? Sinner vs FAA. Still believe in FAA. Neither will reach it, Shapo and Sinner...tt.tennis-warehouse.com
Musetti can't even win clay challengers. He peaked early like Rune. Medjedovic will probably be better than Fils because of his serve and smoother technique. You never know if others will come, but for now Sinner seems dominant, and Alcaraz when he's playing well. Rune will never be that good. Maybe someone like Fonseca, Fils, or Mussetti.
Don't worry Fonseca's rise will be post 2025Rune is a poor man’s Thiem. Overtrains and relies on his fitness too much.
New gen is crying out for a player with some imagination to come out and beat them all.
Do you even tennis?Rune is a complete mug....he won't win any slams

I would not define Alcaraz and Sinner as being the Big 2. They are simply the best players of a rather weak generation.Big 2 are alcaraz and Sinner. Both holding a slam and 1/2 masters right now.

Disagree.I would not define Alcaraz and Sinner as being the Big 2. They are simply the best players of a rather weak generation.
No. There will only be one Big 3 and it ended in 2022 when Roger Federer retired.
If we are calling Rune big 3 - might as well rename the cohort to tiny 3 or something.Djokovic shouldn't be a part of that, I was talking about the next gen big 3
Were the Big 3 being owned by 36 year old Andre Agassi at the age of 22?Disagree.
Sinner is playing like big 3 at age 22. Alcaraz is still young but has won 2 slams at age 19 and 20.
Andre Agassi is overhyped in his late 30s.Were the Big 3 being owned by 36 year old Andre Agassi at the age of 22? The last time that I checked Roger Federer stopped losing to Agassi after Miami 2002. Rafa never lost to him.
The Bizzaro World 3.If we are calling Rune big 3 - might as well rename the cohort to tiny 3 or something.
36 is still 36. Was Rod Laver winning the calendar year grand slam at the age of 36? No, of course not. He had Borg and Connors there who made sure that wouldn't happen.Andre Agassi is overhyped in his late 30s.
Novak movement is far superior to Andre Agassi at age 36.
That's your answer.
That is true, but in the future you never know whether rune could win a grand slam or somethingIf we are calling Rune big 3 - might as well rename the cohort to tiny 3 or something.
36 is not 3636 is still 36. Was Rod Laver winning the calendar year grand slam at the age of 36? No, of course not. He had Borg and Connors there who made sure that wouldn't happen.
Tell that to Marcos Baghdatis Robby Ginepri, or James Blake.36 is not 36
Nadal at 36 is worse than Djokovic at 36
Andre had full AMERICAN media hyping him at 36. He turned 36 on April 2006. The man was barely able to play full matches. it was so bad. Agassi at 34 itself was worse than Djokovic at 36. Cocaine and poor decisions might come back to haunt him in life. Those were his choices.
Rune is a poor man’s Thiem. Overtrains and relies on his fitness too much.
