Is it just me, or was that a jab at Fed?

We all know what happens when Federer wins a major... He drops down to his knees and then sits down between his heels and leans back...sometimes to the ground. Something that we haven't seen other players do really. Now what happened when Nadal won? He did the same. Is this a jab at Federer or just a coincidence?

Seems like even a sneeze is a jab at someone nowadays.
To be honest, I have seen Nadal do this kind of pose or celebration many times, even at big Master 1000 wins.

Nothing to get worked up with.

Oh you're definitely right man, I'm sure after a tight exhausting match and earning a shot a the title by reaching the final all Nadal could think was - "I'm gonna troll the old man so hard now by imitating his celebrations TROLOLOL" .

I mean seriously.

What the ****?! Where/how do you come up with this crap?

Of course it wasn't a "jab" ... fail thread. And this coming from a huge Federer fan (always will be no matter how many losses he suffers at the hands of the bull).

No, with his gesture he was wanting to symbolize both Federer's broken back and broken career. Disrespectful cheater scumbag!

Seriously? He didn't steal federer's celebration move to mock him, it isn't owned by federer lots of players do it. though it did seem like he just won the tournament rather than just beat his bunny again. A tad over the top

But I heard from some respectable posters here that Nadal's an idiot savant so that seems a touch too clever for him :)

Ain't that the truth! But you forget the master puppeteer behind him. This has "Uncle Toni" written all over it.

i felt like this was a legitimate question to ask. if someone can post a video where he has done this before, i'm glad to take it back. i have no interest in trolling, just an interest in bringing up a topic for discussion. apologies for offending you.

huh?

Look at 10:09

he gets back up! apologies. i just saw the initial match win reaction. so i think its fair to say that it clearly was NOT a jab at federer. simply a fed fan(****) looking for things that do not exist :)

Both of these guys are a bit out of control with the instantaneous fake shock victory fall. Act like you've been there. Nole doesn't do this much, I don't think.

You were just looking in the wrong place; you could read a lot of rancour into their post-match meeting if you wanted to.

Yeah, Nole just pumps his chest, yells like an elk in heat and climbs to the stands. Much more controlled and dignified.

And don't forget the stripping and roaring. Nothing more Klassy than a Cvac celebration after a win.

oh i know that for sure... they probably do make some small jabs at one another in reality. it takes a very strong self confidence (ego) to compete at that level. you cant blame the players for feeling like they can beat anyone or that they are the best. if the confidence wasnt there, those players couldnt even compete.

Both Fed and Rafa are jabbing at Borg from '76 Wimby. After Rafa loses to Djoko in the finals, he is going to take another jab at Fed by crying incessantly.
