Is it possible to from 4 doubles to 1 singles?

The tennis season is over, and I primarily played 4th doubles (exhibition). Most of our top players are seniors. 1 singles, 2 singles, one person from 1 doubles, one person from 2 doubles, and one from 3 doubles. The remaining 7 of us are going to all practice offseason (with each other and lessons). It's not that I'm a bad player (not trying to say anything), it's just I have a habit of not watching the ball, and my shots aren't always consistent (I also have bad strategy aka try to kill the ball). I had to play against 1 singles for sections today against the #2 team in the state. That was an experience :D I'm going to try to play 2-3 times a week in group lessons and then get a private every 2 weeks (with the #2 coach cuz he's my trainer). Is it possible I could play 1 singles next year?

While it's "possible", it's probably impossible in reality.
Playing "2-3 times" a week barely maintains your current play level, and you learn nothing mentally playing so little. Almost everyone else is playing 4 days a week.
Now if you grew to Anthony Davis size, 6'11" and 260 lbs., and could jump to the moon, you might make No. 1 singles with his athleticism. But that probably isn't going to happen.
While YOU are practicing thru the winter, so is everyone else.

Well, it's always possible even if it's not super likely. For my 4 years in high school, my spot has gone like this.
9th: scrub ---> some offseason training ---> 10th: #4/5 ---> a little more intense offseason training ---> 11th: #2 ---> Much more intense training ---> 12th (season starts in January): probably #1 and possibly 2
I would say if I had worked on my serve, footwork, and fitness more after 10th grade, I could have gotten to #1 by 11th grade, so it would not be out of the question for you to make a big jump to #1. Even if you don't, it's still worth trying for.

Not likely.

But play every damn day, work on your conditioning, and play with better players.

You'll be shocked.
