This sums up the situation perfectly. I agree that Rune is a top tier talent and a hard worker. The wrist injury and off-court distractions are a big concern. As you said, Christensen is the real hero here in shaping Rune's game up to this point. Making the leap into the top 5 and contending for Slams is the toughest step for players of Rune's talent level. Nearly the whole Next Gen were unable to do it. Morty has never proven that he can help a player take that leap and he should go.
I can only think of homelander when I hear stuff like that now. "YoU aRe ThE rEaL hErO"

Well to me he produces much better backhands now, he can hit some great forehands sometimes, but as i said, it looks too much of a laboratory forehand (not natural) that take back he has looks so bad to me, its like he is trying so much to hit it with a straight arm that the preparation is so tense, to my eye anyway...
Maybe that (take back + straight arm) is what has affected his wrist so much.

Lmao. Yeah, this was totally on the cards. But I didn’t expect this to happen this soon. I thought he might dump PM after this season perhaps. I guess Rune finally saw through the marketing nothingness that is PM.

Noooo! There it goes that ATG status... This decision only makes sense if he is going to hire Nikola to learn the intuitive forehand.

Possibly he might be browsing TTW and has an account here as well, good for him.
Hope he hires a good coach to transition into top 5 and realizes his dream of winning 14 french opens.

Rune needs a good sports psychologist; it's all between his ears.
He is a bit mental; he reminds me of IGA.
They both look like they're going to stroke out on the court, their minds are not still.
But when their minds on not getting in their way, super talented.

Alcaraz is more of a Federer fan, surprising. One would think he should be a Rafan (like Ruud) but it seems Carlos doesnt like Rafa much. Rune might indeed be a Nadal fan, he likes clay as well.

Nah, kiddo was huge Novak fan while he was chasing him in MC for practice, advice, latter was unselfishly giving him
Of course as self promoting newbie (PM actually didn't do much for him) decided to go mainstream route realizing it's so much easier, and now is fan of all 3.
The heck if anyone needs wackos as fans. They would rather need restraining order LOL

Rune's idol growing up was Roger, and he explains why:

So Alcaraz and Rune have Roger as their idols... Both of them must be 1-2 months old when Roger won his 1st slam, by the time they must have started watching his matches on TV his peak must have ended, thats quite interesting.

I wonder where did you get the info that Alcaraz doesn't like Rafa. I think, it's just your wishful thinking, because you have never liked Rafa (you admitted it in this post (#34): https://tt.tennis-warehouse.com/index.php?threads/way-to-go-kvitova.747412/#post-17239852 .
Alcaraz doesn't like his achievements to be constantly compared with Rafa's achievements. (That's what the Spanish media does.)

Here, Alcaraz is reading Rafa's autobiography ("Rafa: My Story", 2011):

Not only is Federer the idol of Alcaraz & Rune. He's the idol of most of the great talents we're seeing in tennis now. That is why in my mind Federer has had the greatest influence on Tennis of any player.

Jannik Sinner picks Roger Federer as his idol while growing up.

If Rune goes backwards in results for the rest of the year, will anyone be willing to speculate whether it is because PatrickM is no longer helping him?

Didn't Federer idolize Laver and Borg?

Doubtful, people here hate PM like the devil, and it is understandable. That being said, it would be disappointing if Rune ends up becoming the next Shapovalov considering his ambitions to win 15 RGs.

Shapovalov took 2 years to transition from being a 19 year old in the top 20 into a 21 year old in the top 10, at least Rune has entered both Top 20 and top 10 at 19 itself, so he is in a better position as of now. Next 1 year will be crucial, he has to enter the top 5 soon and start competing in second week of slams.

He needs to get more fit. He's not good at winning matches when physically hampered unlike Rafole

Whatever they have been doing since Paris, it ain't quite right. Hoping for a fully fit Rune this clay season, the kid can play
