Every Decade has had a player that most tennis fans/historians immediately think of as defining that decade.

20s - Tilden
30s - Perry
40s - Kramer
50s - Trabert
60s - Laver
70s - Borg
80s - Lendl
90s - Sampras
00s - Federer

Who do you think is and who do you think will ultimately be the player of the 2010s?

If we're acknowledging the "GOAT" years, let's also acknowledge the lean years.

From RG 2012 to RG 2014, Djoker went 1-5 in slam finals. Only one other all-time great has any such streak. One.

Yeah sure I will give that to Novak , I mean he has to be the best at something but Nadal won 6 majors before 2010’s While Djokovic only won one, Djokovic isn’t even Top 10 in the 2000’s while Nadal was Top 2 in both 2000’s and 2010’s

He has to win the final 1st. One day at a time. :) I think it's just one more now.

2010 3-0 Nadal

2011 4-3 Nadal

2012 5-4 Nadal

2013 7-5 Nadal

2014 8-6 Nadal

2015 9-8 Djokovic

2016 11-8 Djokovic

2017 11-10 Djokovic

2018 12-11 Djokovic

You're right! It was a mistake though, I wasn't counting tomorrow's match assuming a win. When I did it in my head I gave 3 to Novak for 2011 and forgot Rafa won RG lol.

Oh ok. Hopefully it will be 2 differential after Sunday. He has to win one of these damn USO finals sometime. :D

Now is the ratio of winning majors in the decade 2010s between Djoker and Bull 13-11. If Novak gets one GS title in 2019, Rafa will not be able to overtake him in the 2010s decade even if he has won the remaining three majors year 2019.

Dafuq?! Lol You expect a 33+ years player to rule the entire decade, like really?! Or was it just a sarcasm?...Sometimes you never know with people on the internet...
My posts are always 100% serious. I would never cheat readers like the Fed devotees on here.

It's Novak Djokovic for the 2010s.

13-11 to him in slams, plus he was the true dominator of the decade (the six years 2011-2016 saw him on top, or very close to the top - and he's come back to that level in 2018).

Nadal OTOH has had some great years, and other years where he's spent masses of time injured, or barely reaching slam quarter-finals.

Oh and btw, Gonzales is the player of the 50s.

2003: Federer/Roddick
2004-2007: Federer
2008: Nadal
2009: Federer
2010: Nadal
2011: Djokovic
2012: Big 4
2013: Nadal
2014: Nadal/Djokovic
2015: Djokovic
2016: Djokovic
2017: Nadal/Federer
2018: Djokovic
That’s fair. I’d say 2014 is a Novak year though.

Murray won 2 Olympic Golds in that period. Clear #1.

I'm not sure I agree. One Olympic gold is not worth more than 3 slams imo. More like 2.01 Slams. So, that's 7 Slams in total for Murray. I don't know if that's more than Djokovic's.

Djoko has owned Nadal both on the court and achievement wise this decade. More dominant Aswell. I respect Nadal, Incredible player, but this is the truth.

2000 - Safin

Right now I’d say Djokovic.

Why is Trabert the player of the 1950s? It’s easily Gonzalez.

70's was Connors. He was #1 basically the whole time until 79.
Also Djokovic is the best player of the 2010s. The real race for supremacy in this era is between him and Federer. Nadal is irrelevant in the discussion at this point.
