Is New Pure Aero 98 worth the upgrade from PAVS?

if you look at the gen1 PAVS the string pattern top to bottom has more spacing
as in the spacing from where the pattern starts and finishes etc.
The tighter pattern needs this spacing for extra pop vs more open patterns.

Maybe the PAVS throat grommet shape gives it more powahhh:

That is the first gen PAVS with the woofer grommet. I think FAA is still using that under the current PA98 PJ.

correct gen 1 written, the most unloved and unwanted of any Bab. Tight crosses & big spacing top / bottom gave it a small sweet spot.
If the string pattern was more open during the spin era when it came out in 2016 more RAFA spin loving juniors could have adopted it.
However the PS VS was already there and better evolved then as the alternative to the Aero or PD.

FAA we all know does, but Jack Sock went to APD, Stevey to PD/Yonex/PD and Cechi is lost in the 200+

There is really no love for the 1st Gen compared to the PA98, yet many believe FAA would do better with a PS98.

Jack sock used the aero storm gt with cortex his whole career before switching to the ezone and percept his final year . Stevey used the aero storm tour gt before Babolat tried to force him to the 2016 Vs tour which he didn’t like and went to the Vcore Sv and then later the ezone before going back to his aero storm tour in his final season. And Cechinato is still using the Aero Vs like FAA under a paint job. The frame was pretty popular on tour at some points, just didn’t do that great at a retail level.
