Is Pure Drive at all similar to FXP Instinct or Npro Surge?

I would like to try some of the Pure Drive racquets, but already have a Npro Surge and a FXP Instinct. The specs are pretty similar, so if they play pretty similar, I'd like to save myself the trouble. I would specifically like to know how the sweetspot and power level compare.

Thanks!

would you say the pure drive is more or less powerful than the racquets mentioned above?

i've tried the surge...and the surge feels really stiff. i think the woofer on the PD softens it up a bit at the sweetspot. as for power, the PD definitely has more although the surge itself isnt underpowered at all.

I thought the FXP Instinct played very much like the Pure Drive it copies. A little less stiff feeling, but there is not much need to try it if you already have the Instinct.
I think they are both very good racquets, both have a lot of power and spin.
I think the PD serves better, and the Instinct volleys better but I could use either one without any problems.
Biggest difference is the Head grip shape.

need help from racquet weighting gurus

good call, bluegrasser. I demo'd the PD and PD Roddick today and the PD standard plays VERY similar to the Surge. At net though, there was absolutely no contest. The PD Roddick was FAR better for volleying (for me anyway). The Surge and the PD std had to be hit dead center or they would twist and not put the ball very deep. I guess its a weight issue.

My question is, if I just add weight to the Surge, will it make it play like the PD Roddick? I am going to try, but wanted some advice on whether to just put it at 3 and 9, or do i need to put it all around the hoop?
