Situation was like this:Comentators just said something I may have missed, that the umpire had called a let. Don't know if he actually saw the double bounce.
If he did call a let, then I think Rune did not cheat. This time.
Rune won the set that way.how significant was this point?
It should have been advantage for Cerúndolo and turned out to be BP for Rune.how significant was this point?
Significance doesn't matter. Cheating is cheating. But yes, it was pretty significant as others have pointed out.how significant was this point?
The real crime is that there was no call on the bounce. Looks like something a competent chair umpire should see as it wasn't exactly close.
GOAT of cheating?
You gotta do what you gotta do. Win at all costs, bud.
You are right, cheating maybe is a strong word here. But when something is that obvious, it is at least not fair play. The real crime is that there was no call on the bounce. Looks like something a competent chair umpire should see as it wasn't exactly close. I wouldn't call it cheating as the players don't make the calls as this is more poor sportsmanship.
Hilarious coming from a Djoker fan. That double bounce, just disgusting behaviour.
It doesn't need to be written, it's something you can do due to good sportmanship. You people kill me. Where is it written in a professionally officiated sport that a player needs to call things o themselves? Have you ever seen a footballer/soccer player call handling, or offsides, or a penalty on themselves?
Or a baseball player say "yeah, he tagged me out" or "no, no...that wasn't a ball, it was a strike. Nice pitch".
Get off your couch and enter the real world...
Well, in tennis it does happen a lot, by honest players. You people kill me. Where is it written in a professionally officiated sport that a player needs to call things o themselves? Have you ever seen a footballer/soccer player call handling, or offsides, or a penalty on themselves?

This isn't soccer, this is tennis. A gentlemens sport! You people kill me. Where is it written in a professionally officiated sport that a player needs to call things o themselves? Have you ever seen a footballer/soccer player call handling, or offsides, or a penalty on themselves?

Don't try and argue against sociopathic arguments.Well, in tennis it does happen a lot, by honest players.
That double ball bounce was winning behaviorHilarious coming from a Djoker fan.

How so? You can criticize Novak on a lot of things but sportsmanship is not one of them.Hilarious coming from a Djoker fan.
Third set at 1-2 40-40, Cerundolo serving. The call gave Rune a BP and he won the next point and eventually the set 6-4.What was score at that point?
This lol.How so? You can criticize Novak on a lot of things but sportsmanship is not one of them.
I've defended him in the past but there's no defending this. Terrible, awful sportsmanship and he knew it because it was all over his face after that. It's one thing for someone to hit the line on hardcourt or grass, and you keep quiet because you're not sure and leave it up to them to challenge, but not on a double bounce where you know it bounced twice before you hit it and know they can't challenge that mistake.
It's the umpire's job and he screwed up badly and Rune showed terrible sportsmanship. Both things are true.It is the umpire's job to call that, not the players' jobs.
Rune did nothing wrong.
I know exactly when I get a double bounce, and I'm not a pro. They know very very well.I will always give players the benefit of the doubt when it comes to double bounces on the full stretch, it can be very difficult to tell (this jist from personal experience) and I refuse to believe that every time this happens, every player is showing poor sportsmanship, when not conceding the point.
