Is Sinner the worst mover for his height?

In baseline tennis you need elite movement to success but Sinner has a terrible movement for his height, he's only 6ft2 but moves worse than Zverev , Medvedev who are around 6ft6. I saw Snail Rafa was making him move from corner to corner and exposing his movement, Djokovic did the same to him in last 3 sets. What made Sinner's movement so terrible? With a better movement he would have been an elite player.

Elite? And he’s fourth in the race atm? 3rd if he wins the title?

I think it's probably fair to say.

Look at the B3 or King Carlos. Sinner is Daddy Longlegs/giraffe in comparison

I think he improved his movement quite a bit in the last year or two. Still work to be done, if you compare him to some of the other top guys, I‘d agree.

I’m not sure why Sinner is listed as 6’2. He’s is closer to 6’4 or 6’5. He’s about the same height as Tsitsipas

Sinner is not atletic build like Alcarez or Nadal. He’s not a bad mover but not excellent either.

His biggest skill is his ability to predict the game and turn defence to offence.

Ridiculous take. Have you seen his lateral movement and sliding especially to his FH wing?

Worst mover ever for his height?

What are we doing here exactly.

Sliding doesn't mean movement is elite , you can be slow , have clumsy movement and still slide. When Snail Rafa and grandpa Djokovic expose your movement and speed then there's no discussion left.

I think he moves well and Killer is doing a good job. Needs to be careful with the pasta long term, but let’s see.

Ok so let’s break this down. We all know how bad his serve is, it’s below average at best. So if he has a bad serve and the worst movement ever for his height, how exactly is he winning his matches, making Masters finals, or going up 2-0 on Djoko at Wimbledon?

Because .. uhm .. all other tennis players are even weaker and Djokovic had a bad day or something and he was old and so could only play at 10% of his peak level ;)

Well his return is probably the second best that’s why he’s so competitive. If the damn guy had a top 30 serve he would’ve won last years USO

First, his physio has said he is 192cm, so he is not 6-2. Second, his movement is actually very good. Serve and variety are the issues. Next you’ll tell us he has bad groundstrokes.

His serve is bad for his height but not that bad in general like Shortman, also Birdman defeated Fed and gave him many tough matches does it mean he had good movement and speed? Nope! Both have had fire power in their strokes off both wing. As i said when Snail Nadal exposed your bad movement and speed then it's really bad. Djokovic at 35 was exposing his movement and moving him around the court after first 2sets in their Wimbledon match up.

Berdych’s serve was like 5x better than Sinner’s…

Bird didn't play against lame generation either, Sinner has a bit better movement than Birdman though and that's it. As i said when Snail Nadal and Grandpa Djokovic are exposing your movement and court coverage then it's really bad by elite tennis standard.

I was shocked when I heard he was only 6'2. With his body type I always figured he was at least 6'4.

He's only 2" taller than Carlos?

did you watch his last match against Kokkinakis? Watch it and come back here again and tell me if he’s a poor mover

Yeah, OP must not have watch much of Sinnner this year or end of last. Improved immensly in movement, closing the net more often, and dang good offensive skills getting to a lot more balls. Top player with top players movement.

He’s fourth in the race for a reason

Sinner is a good mover in terms of covering the court, he just looks stiff, plus he is probably slower than Djokovic/Alcaraz, but that doesn't mean he's among the worst movers of his height.
I bet he's faster than 3/4s of the 6'2" players, at least, maybe even 90%.

Hello ,Nadalalot aka paint aka 100s of other ids.

Never felt Sinner was lacking in terms of movement. Even if that is the case, his elite anticipation makes up for any limitations in movement.

Yeah sure even Stef keeps exposing his movement. He's slow and have bad movement for his age and height.

his movement is not a problem while attacking but while defending he's slow on the ball and his defense is lacking due to his slow movement in comparision to elite movers.
