didn't they measure head size differently back in the days???

i read somewhere that head sizes were measured from outside of frame...then later was changed to inside... (or vice versa)

now i'm thinking is the head classic tour 102 really a 102?? or is it something smaller/larger???

just thought i'd throw this out... no one has one available for demo but i like the specs and am considering ordering one...

from the specs alone it seems like a perfect balance of heft, head size, swing weight, and HL....

102sqin seems about right. I hv a LM radical midplus 98sqin and pog LB MP 100sqin. The '102' seems larger than both and smaller than my POG os 107 and the head radical OS. I hv 2 head classic tour 102s right now and looking to sell one my email is pihk@email.com

IMO the Classic Tour 102 is definitely bigger than 98 sq. in. - the 102 does seem right (I have owned them in the past). If not for Head's rectangular grips it would still be a contender.

The 102 is probably more like 98 since head measures from the outside.

Yup Head measures from the outside which makes them slightly smaller compared to other manufacturers that measure from the inside. I have the 102 inch prestige tour and it's slightly larger than a Volkl 98 when I put the frames together to compare. This is also seen with the Classic Mid that is slightly smaller than the Volkl C10 Pro Tour and Prince Diablo Mids I have.

so, compared to today's more popular (and newer) racquets the head classic tour would be really a 100??

if i took this racquet and compared it to say a wilson n6.2 100 it would be pretty much the same size???

i was actually looking for a larger than 100 head size but not something too extreme like a 110 or 107...

if the head 102 is just like a newer model 100 i'll stick to my current sticks...
