Is the ending of Roland Garros going to be this?

Federer had better have the class to be at that trophy presentation :cautious:
Yeah, an active player preparing for grass at age 40 needs to disrupt his training to be at the trophy ceremony. And if Fed bags #21 the next month, Nadal "better have the class" to be at that trophy ceremony too. This has been discussed here to death. There is ZERO expectation for an active player to do anything if Nadal passes Fed's record.

He'd better be there :sneaky::whistle:

If Thiem doesn't win this year, then clay is no longer a real surface. Don't ask why, that's just how it is.
Thiem to lose in QF and Schwartzmann v. Nadal 2021 final. Either that or Djokovic, but I want spice in my life for once when it comes to these Nadal finals.

I’ve been wrong every year except 15 and 16 but this year I think a noticeably slower Nadal loses in the QF/SF/F. I think Thiem wins it.

If Mufasa is Fed and Nadal is Scar, who is Djokovic?
Djokovic is Simba - the one who eventually prevails at the end of it all, when Scar and Mufasa have died. Also wasn't Simba the one who killed Mufasa? It's been so long since I watched it I don't remember :-D

Thiem defeating Nadal and later taking the title?
If he doesn't beat him in the final, he probably doesn't take the title. Beating Nadal at RG is a too demanding task. He'd end up depleted either physically, emotionally or both.

Thiem is not beating Nadal at RG at this point. Unless he shows up with the eye of the tiger this clay season.

Thiem owns Nadal mentally recently. Won 5 tiebreaks out of 5 last year.
Djokovic’s won countless sets against Nadal on HCs in a row, yet his mental edge there doesn’t translate to clay.

Btw, what were your thoughts about clay future after RG 2018? Were you thinking that by 2019 Thiem will have the required level to beat Nadal at RG?
