Is there an app similar to swingtool for android?

My Iphone has died, so i'm looking for another app that can time the periods of a swinging object. Not fussed if the app isnt related to tennis, I'll just input the period measurements into the TW calculator

Cheers

Video/record the swings; add timer to video? Both apps are on iOS and Android, but you need to see how to do it by manufacturer. Step thru the video with timer showing?

Not to hijack the thread but similar enough I am still trying to think of the best way to affix the racquet to the rod/pivot point as the 2 pencils in the strings produced non-repeatable results.

The rubber bands on the handle while elegant if not careful sag leading to a bad result. I looked at plastic beach towel chair clips but they weigh up to 5 grams and worry they would throw off the calculation. For example these:

I use a one rod method. At the very tip of the frame, I place a loop of string in the 2 central mains. Insert rod or pencil and tighten string. I rest the rod on the top of 2 high back chairs so it swings freely. To obtain hang point, measure length of frame and subtract [hoop dimension at tip + diameter of rod]. I find that whatever I measure seems to be 1 mm too high. i blame my eyesight. HTH.

Thanks, I will give that a shot.

I saw the previous idea of using rubber bands around the bottom of the handle to attach the but cap to a rod and then place the rod between 2 card tables. If the rubber bands are old or too skinny they sag and then things get off kilter.

I use to try doing it based on what TWU said to do, but could not get good readings on the hang point. By moving the hang point to the "tip" which has a hard surface, I no longer have this issue. I use calipers to measure the frame + rod diameter. And the length is always 68.6 cm or 69.9 cm. TWU and SW app do not care so long as the measurements are accurate.
