Is there supposed to be a 2022 Yonex Ezone Tour version coming?

No stiffness ratings. I didn't like the 2020 tour,

I think they should’ve lowered the target balance to 31.5cm on these; would make this a unique offering w/ more pwr than similarly specced rackets like Rad Pro, Diadem Elevate Tour, etc more in the vein of a Pure Strike Tour or other powerful 98, but not too much of a log…

I still don’t know why they kept the weight and balance the same. It needs to be at least 7pts HL. 4 is absurd for that much heft.
It's counter-intuitive about the strung balance of Ezone 98 (2020 and 2022) : 6ptsHL (Regular) vs 4ptsHL (Tour) :-D
Yonex purposely does not change it in the 2022 version :-D

The Ezone Tour is for professional and really advanced players. It needs to be modded if you play the modern strokes game (and use it for competition). The window for customisation is small (for us ordinary amateurs).

Logically, it should be 320g / 9ptsHL (unstrung).

The only reason I think the spec remains 315g / 7ptsHL (unstrung) is that they want to let more tennis players use it (mainly play traditional strokes, for practice, strokes development and not in competition). A lot of players won't look at it if it's 320g (unstrung).

If you are really advanced and like Ezone Tour, spend time to tail weight it and see if it works. The window for customisation is larger (for professional or really advanced players).
It has a stiffness of 62RA and it's a finished product on the hoop, with the typical swingweight and twistweight for professional or really advanced players. :D

Specifically for adv/pro players with strokes that aren’t that whippy. If you hit like Karue from MyTennisHQ, this is for you. Otherwise, prob not.

They shoulda done 315g/31.5cm unstrung (just under 9HL); 32cm is a log @ this spec. Woulda made this the only Tour spec control tweener out there; satisfies the hefty but still reasonably HL balance spec a Radical Pro, Elevate Tour or similar user would want but w/ that pwr edge that comes w/ its beam design/thickness, & becomes a great option for anyone who wants a heavier but still usable EZ98.

All ATP pro players use modern strokes (smaller takeback, use of body motion : load/unload, coil/uncoil and kinetic chain). Among them, not many players whip the ball (or use so-called whippy strokes). However, if that occurs, the static weight of the racquet is a tad lower.

With proper tail weighting, most professional and really advanced players should be happy with Ezone Tour should they forget to bring their own racquets (eg. on a vacation). They can dial in quickly and play their predictable shots in point play.

Exactly this.
For those complaining it's not head light enough...
Yonex base grips are pretty light. And not great. Many will replace.
In my case, I have leather (about 10gm heavier than stock grip) + overgrip (5gm).
So right there, 15gm added, all at the tail end. Changes balance nicely.
If stock was more head light, this would have ended up *too* head light.

First part’s true. Even though not everybody has Jack Sock’s FH for ex tho, this is more set up for someone who uses less wrist snap than players like Tsitsipas, Alcaraz, Sinner, etc etc. This needs to be 350g+ static to be any way maneuverable & even then the wt is rlly centralized on these. Still think they’d have a bigger audience if they made this a bit more HL; they could get the same SW, stability & plow w/ more polarized wt distribution & faster feeling racket that would likely be even easier for a pro/adv player who likes wt to dial in (considering those who use 350+g sticks usually have a 340+ SW polarized setup so they can still swing the racket). Hopefully the ‘22 Tour isn’t the arm wrecker the ‘20 was

I’m really confused about the new tour on paper. 64 flex compared to the previous 62? And then similar specs other than the beam update.

On one hand I’m bummed because I was excited to try it. On the other hand I’m happy because my “custom tour” based on the regular 98 looks like it’s not going anywhere anytime soon.

RA’s just avg flex of the racket; haven’t hit w/ the Tours but the 1st one wrecked arms. Sure 62RA but prolly too stiff in parts of the hoop. New Tour has higher avg RA but could be softer in the spots that matter, idk.

As others mentioned above, it would have been good if it has been made a bit more HL than just 4 points strung.

Curious to know if it causes arm issues as the previous one or not; material/thickness etc eliminated the issues?

Having used the EZ98T over the past two years, I've had zero arm problems. Wondering what this new EZ98T will play like?

It should be 310g instead of 315 and more HL imo. Fingers crossed. Cant find any information about it yet other than what’s listed on yonex website but who knows if it’s even accurate.

There wouldnt be much of a point to have the model if it's that close to the regular 98
