My friend gave me a Pure Aero Team to string but the grommets were not symmetrical and ENGINEERED was spelt as ENGINNERED lol. Is this a fake?

Well I guess string it up and see what happens. I stringed up a couple fakes for some guy. Both the hoops cracked within an hour of hitting.

Almost certainly a fake if the spelling is wrong, although Wilson did bungle the recent genuine PS85 re-release. How do the weight and balance specs compare to the official ones?

Well I guess string it up and see what happens. I stringed up a couple fakes for some guy. Both the hoops cracked within an hour of hitting.

I couldnt string it cos of the non-symmetery of the grommets.

The Pure Aero line has asymmetric grommets and can only be strung one way for crosses. Check markings on frame. Just string it up and tell the client your suspicion. I suspect that they would tell you to string it even if they thought it was a fake.

Just following up: My friend reached out to Babolat and they confirmed this is a GENUINE racquet and one from their mis-spelt bunch. Very interesting.

My teammate has a pure strike gen 3 where the red line at 12 is off my one grommet and not centered in the middle of the frame. Seems like Babolat does goofy stuff like this.

I recall someone posting a picture of IIRC a Wilson Blade Pro where the drill pattern wasn't centered?
