Being rude and insulting others won't make you a better player. You have insulted Oscar, 4.0s and now old dudes.....anger management is always an option.

I made like $400 in pro prize money over my career :)

Teaching and hitting lessons. Hitting lessons are great as a pro if you dont teach 8 hours a day, then they are impossible. Players are pretty good too, can keep the ball in play.

Essential tennis is terrible too. Those guys just lol.

Salzenstein has his juniors. So he always has a good player to demo his ideas.

Fuzzy yellow balls is just annoying.

Yandel is good. As it is real pros. And coaches. Awesome website but needs a complete redesign or it will risk being left behind by other places with real production value and website design knowhow.

My bar is to play at an advanced level. 5.0 ntrp. Or higher for younger people. Technique imo should be able to handle a certain skill level of opponent.

I'm not so much picking on the white hat guy but rather picking on the mtm coaching. As I feel it is not helpful to overlook obvious lack of skill and to tout it as more advanced a play level than it is. That's Oscars fault. Great shot great shot. And I'm wondering if we are watching the same guy. Or is Oscar commenting about some guy on the next court.

Lol. That still means you are or were a pro tennis player. Even Thomas Daniels mtm coach can't say that. He says semi pro. Whatever that means.

So what do you think of white hat mtm student? Terrible right? Be honest.

How is the truth rude and insulting? Does Oscar need to be protected by big bad me? I don't get it. Oscar is teaching a beginner. If I got the Oscar coupon why can't I give it to another old beginner like the white hat guy?

Nah just got lucky in a few open tournaments, i played alot of them. Qtrs were about it, but played some great players. I think kevin kim finished highest, but played some guy named patricio arnold from argentina (davis cup) and he is still the best i think, was clay though.

Pro players have atp cards and points, this is local stuff.

I've seen some very bad players, womens wigs fall off mid point and people pee their pants. He isnt that bad, he has no rotation on my fh though, maybe a bad back or something, looks weird.

I'm not saying any of those coaches are bad. I'm saying they have to make a living too. Are you telling me that all of Yandell's students will be better? The most number of students a coach will get are not going to be highly ranked juniors. The law of averages dictate that the vast majority of students are going to be weaker middle aged adults. Depending upon their age, ability, lessons they can commit to, a coach has to make certain judgement calls on what, how, and how much to teach.

I agree with you on the video. Not sure why it was touted as Advanced Tips. If you're going to demonstrate advanced tips, do so clearly with better students who can execute those tips. I can understand one of the students releasing it. Not sure why Oscar felt the need to release that. It actually hurts his brand.

P.S. I still think the guy in the white cap hits a pretty consistent fh :) For what he is probably trying, it's good enough. It's good to set a high bar, but as you get older, you'll need your improving skills just to stay at your current levels. Any sport that puts a premium on speed, endurance, and skill that can only be earned through countless hours of practice, is not something that adults can start late in life and improve dramatically at, despite the hours they put in. A lot of us are whitehatperson...more so once you video tape yourself and play back those beautiful strokes that you thought that you were executing.

Some people are just too sensitive. Get mad at the slightest critique. If I was at the filming of the white hat video I would tell Oscar white hat was terrible and he should go practice some more before the "Advanced" lesson.

I'm not holding my breath, You are at best a 3.5, like most people here, and white hat guy would destroy you. His buddy would destroy you playing left handed.

It amazes me that some of you are so blinded by MTM and Oscar hate that you cannot see the real point of this video. White hat guy has rough technique except for one thing. He knows how to lag the racquet and pull across. And because of that, he can hit a better FH than any of you, except maybe Balla, who is a pro.

I'm more than willing to make a small bet if that's all people are willing to do. But nobody has enough balls to actually do it.

Man up buddy. If I was so sure like you I would actually put $ up.

Just because you are a 3.5 doesn't mean I am.

I challenged retro to a gun fight and he took his toys and went home.

In Texas that's called turning tail and running.

Well, actually, in Texas... dueling by gunfight is illegal. However, it is completely legal to duel by pugilism (fist fight) as long as both parties verbally agree and consent and the fight is not to the death. Again, one of the great traditions in the great state of Texas!

I just wanted a small gentleman's bet and retro won't honor it. He doesn't want to risk a few bucks I think. He seems so sure of his opinions about me.

He cares about mtm a lot. I have on good authority he is one of mtm's managers. In charge of leaving books at all the tennis clubs where pros practice.

You don't play rec tennis then. Up through 4.0, it is more about unforced errors than winners. So keeping the ball in isn't a given for a majority of players. Even up through 4.5 there are hitting errors that are nothing more than consistency.
