Novak's behaviour - and game - has gotten worse in recent years. I think the lower level makes him frustrated. He is no longer the player he used to be and he knows it. Decline is of course even harder to accept for the player than it is for the fans.

He wins almost nothing!

Fed beats him at AO, Fed beats him at FO and Fed will definetly beat him at USO.

However at wimbledon he has a 50-50 chance to beat Nadal maybe.
I have him nailed on for AO/W

RG Nadal wins, USO Federer the favourite depending on how Djokovic plays.

Ok Wimbledon he wins.

But AO even Nadal is no joke and neither is Fed of 2011 a joke, those guys were younger and faster, you think an injured Novak that beat Mugvedev can beat Federer or Nadal ???

R u joking???

Nadal was basically at his peak on HCs in those times, you r betting on an injured man to beat peak Nadal ? hahaha

In real life matches Djokovic leads Federer 4-0 and 12-1 in sets won since they change the surface to plexicushion.

In real life they are aged 6 years in favor of novak and plexi came when fed was in his 27th year and novak in his 21st year

However then 2021 novak is 34 and 2011 Fed is 30, so here it is advantage Fed .,..... U r forgetting this.... age matters ...... Trust me, Federer of 2011 will beat 2021 Novak and Nadal would crush this novak

Seriously? He's so frustrated and declined that he has a chance for the CYGS. That's some drop off in level.

Definitely fine them. That equipment is expensive and you don’t want to be sending kids messages that vandalism is ok.

What he doesn’t know yet is that in the near future, all players will be forced to wear a GoPro on their heads and there will be cameras just like these between the net and him following his movement in a dramatic way during the entire match. Safety of the players is of no concern when tv ratings are at stake.

There should be way more cameras on court. Maybe itll encourage players to come to net instead of stay 30' behind the baseline.

I knew this was the only layer his fans could see. I guess it's only natural, since he's your favourite player. Novak gets frustrated because he makes so many errors. In 2015-16 (until loss of form/ injury set in) he played on a much higher level, and he was calmer on court.

I think it's phenomenal that he can win slams when playing like he has done this year. Strong mental/ tactical wins, but the level is not great and would not be enough on the tour we've known these past 15 years or so, but still a Grand Slam is a Grand Slam, and it's nice that it happens because it's a rarity :)

No he gets frustrated because he's a perfectionist with a hot temper, and you must have missed all those racket smashes and outburts in 2015 and 2016?

I don't think he's frustrated with his level of tennis at all, at least in the slams, and he wouldn't say he's the most complete today if he didn't mean and believe it. How could he be frustrated with his game to that extent if he won the first 3 slams of the year? That doesn't make sense.

Plot twist:

Medvedev and Rublev are SVR agents and the camera crew is a CIA agent. The camera is actually a prototype stealth microwave weapon designed to counter attack the Russian BWEH attack.

Medvedev was tasked to destroy the weapon at all costs.

You said it; he is frustrated because he is a perfectionist. He doesn't play nearly as well as he would like, and he is lucky to still be fit or he would really not be a Grand Slam candidate this year. Just the way I see it. Winning does not always mean you are at your best level. Novak has never been angrier than these last couple of years - again; as I see it. It would be nice if tennis' #1 behaved properly on the court. As I see it :)

Yet he is about to win cygs. What does this say about the tour?

It says something. Novak is still playing great in stretches but also makes loads of uncharacteristic errors in other stretches. I firmly belive he would not have been good enough to win slams in most strong seasons the last 15 years. His mentality is unbelievable, like he can pull out wins by strong willpower; very impressive under all circumstances. He is a great champion, and I think it would be great had he won the Grand Slam in 2015, when he was playing on a lot higher level - but my man Stan showed his high peak level and ruined the show, unlike the "10+ slams in any other era" gang.

But, but….he’s the GOAT?

The numbers prove it…THE NUMBERS PROVE IT!!!!

ah Novak. Ahhhhhhhhh!

lol

Time to suspend these next gens.... or fine them severely

I’m sure he got a hefty fine. The camera was out there by the ATP not a broadcast network.

I do question why they would place a camera each end of the court (north and south) and not have two of them across the chair umpire’s chair, as is traditional? My guess is with out the line crew they thought they’d get a better angle.

This camera costs 250k, he knows that right?
Why would he have to know that? But I know that the people who purchased that camera and put it there know now that that camera may have cost Medvedev about half a million dollars this week and of course a bunch of ranking points.

The camera was moved to the outside of the towel box for the second Zverev-Tsitsipas match below. It was definitely a hazard. Particularly for players that play well behind the baseline.
