I'm looking for lockout machine in the UK and found this one.
A09.gif

It is a Pro's Pro Professional 7000, here is the spec:
Attractive machines finished in blue with yellow clamps and the following features:

6 point mounting

Swivel clamp system

Quarter turn clamp locking system

Tension range 9-102 lbs

360º turntable

Two tennis/squash clamps

Set of stringing tools included free

Complete 3 year guarantee

And Free Delivery to the UK mainland

It looks good and it is priced at £346.63 ( $615.08 )

I like the look of the machine but should I buy it?

Matthew

I emailed the company, and they said they had completely dicontinued their relationship with Lilly-Lee, so it may look similar, but it is made in another factory.

Both Gamma & Alpha here in the "colonies" have machines that look similar. Since it is a local company doing the importing, your best bet is to see if they will let you contact some satisfied customers. You might find some new opponets ass a side benifit.

Personally, I would take a flyer on the machine if word of mouth is good.

The UK stringing group is another source of information, along withthe Grand Slam stringing message board.< Hope that is allowed !>

Hey, Matthew. Have you personally looked at this machine, and was it identical to this picture; Or was it just this picture you are going by? I'm fairly confident the machine in this picture is same source as eagnas. Other pro's pro models I've seen pictures of were definitely same source and even same model name (challenger I, has a good reputation is Europe). I would be wary of any recent change in pro's pro suppliers. As regards quality, the pictured machine has the best options and pieces to make it a worthy and enjoyable investment at that price. However, if quality AND value interest you check out the EAG 300 (or similar glide bar machine) at 339. An awesome value and a fun, easy, solid machine if you don't string fan patterned mains. Let us know where you're at and what you decide.

I also have used the Eagnas EAG-300. I think, for the money, it is really hard to beat. Very solid with heavy cast turntable. I like the glide bars with single action clamps.

I have decided, to get a drop weight, to save money, also I will see how the machine stands up, and if it is built well i may get another Pro's Pro.
They would be:
A05.gif

Pro's Pro Professional 600
OR
A06.gif

Pro's Pro Challenger 1

The Challenger is the more expensive model at, £264.38 but they are saying it is better because of the one hand motion, though the 6000 is £229.13 which is a £35 difference. What machine would you pick and what do you think about my decision.
