He looks very vulnerable on clay right now having a lot of close matches and even some losses. his clay game seems to be on decline.

Is this the year novak beats nadal at the FO? or even another guy?

I think his technique is better than before, but Rafa has declined in the engine department.

And since he has based all his game on grinding oponnents, rather than improving his game strategies, ...

He can still win RG, but it all depends in what physical state he gets to the final...

He is still very likely to make it to the Finals. We all know there is only one man with at least a 50/50 shot of beating him in a clay 5-set final.

Nadal will beat Djokovic in the French Open final in 5 sets!
Thats my prediction!
No way is Rafa going down 5 in a row again!

#Shankerdal2014 is NOT winning RG this year.

His serve is pathetic right now. Return game not clicking. Mentally he's p1$$ing ATM. Shanking every other forehand. Shots landing midway in the court. No power in the shots. Moon balling way too much.
Every aspect of his game needs an up gradation.

We'll see how he does in the Grass season this year, after he loses at RG.

Who will beat him? Am betting on Nadal to win RG! Who is going to beat him before the final? Dimitrov? Wawrinka? Thiem? Ferrer? or maybe You know who for the first time in 6 attempts!

Did you know Nadal wiped the court with Soderling 6-1, 6-0 in Rome a few weeks before Soderling overpowered him at RG?

He might be extra souped up for RG! ;)

He has better astrology at RG this year than he did at the AO in January and he still reached the AO final...

I'll leave you to decide what to make of it.

Can be many.....
My hands will pain if I write all the names and your mouth will pain if you laugh as much as that smiley you posted.
Smile normally. Its good for health.

I think a 9th RG title would be a colossal achievement, absolutely off the charts. I think it is more reasonable to expect a loss at this stage and be mindblown if the loss doesn't happen because 9 titles at 1 slam for only 1 loss would be beyond phenomenal, almost inhuman.

I think the rigors of the pro tour plus his playing style is starting to take its toll just the way it happened to Thomas Muster, Michael Chang, the Sanchez family and other clay court runners ( of course Nadal is far more than just a clay court runner).

Nadal has a good chance of not dropping a set at this Roland Garros. He's really increasing his level big time based on the Murray, Dimitrov and Djokovic matches (but lacked energy in the last 3 games vs Djokovic). He's playing well enough to not drop a set until the final (and he might win the final in straight sets too, because his confidence will increase with each straight sets victory). The only improvement I would recommend is that I want Nadal to stop hitting so flat (by his standards). Nadal was giving the ball a lot more air last year (and btw Nadal's court coverage is a lot better this year than it was last year). Higher trajectory is a particularly good idea on Roland Garros clay.

there is a certain swede outside the door asking for the OP....
