Is USO 2019 Rafa’s last chance?

To win a slam besides RG?

AO and Wimbledon are too fast/low bouncing for him to beat fed/nole.

He was playing extremely solid all year vs the field in all the grand slams only to get stomped by fellow big 3.

USO seems to suit him best, can he do it?

No. It might be his last chance to actually beat Novak head-to-head in a non-clay Major (if that hasn't already passed and if Nadal doesn't have a resurgence vs Novak like Federer has had against Nadal), but anything can happen elsewhere in the draw or with an injury or off-court distraction. The chances are not over until they stop playing.

Djokovic will be there waiting for him, i think its likely rafas last chance to beat him.

You can never be sure. Don't forget that if not for the USO's newish heat policy, Novak likely would have lost first round last year to Fuscovic.

Its impossible to say. No one knows whos next to get injured, or lose form. Its happened to all the big 4 in recent times.
Federer and Nadal capitalized on Djoker not being decent in 2017-18, and if he wasn't around still, Nadal would've had AO 19 and Fed W 19.
But generally, if he cant beat Djokovic in NY then its looking bleak, unless someone else takes out the Djoker first.

There is always a chance for Rafa in New York given that Djokovic and Federer have struggled much more than him with the heat and humidity there in recent years. But the flipside is that 7 matches on slower hardcourts (and their longer points) is tougher on Rafa's joints.

He needs to get through the early rounds a lot quicker than last year. He was sharp in the opening rounds but then got into slugfests with Khachanov, Basilashvilli and Thiem.
He wore himself out, and the Del Potro match was also going to probably go on for hours if his knee wasn't messed up.
There was no way he was beating Djokovic if he came through that.
He MUST go for broke and finish matches earlier to give himself a chance.

Till such time I see the next gen win , there is no last chance discussion for any of the big 3

Heck even a broke back Murray will have a better chance to snag a major
