Yes, Twaron is trade marked by https://www.teijinaramid.com/en/products/twaron/Dupont trademarked the name Kevlar, a polyaramid fiber. Twaron is also the same polyaramid made from a different series of reactions. Twaron is also trademarked. From what I understand, the reactions used by Dupont are more toxic and they have since licensed the process used to produce Twaron, though they continue to use the trademark Kevlar. Nature does not care what the trademark name is. The stuff is the same at a molecular level.
Think only the PS97 and the RF97A use braided graphite/kevlar. No others. Though Angell have the K7 with kevlar!
As VS said prince is now using twaron, im very keen to try the new tex tour 95 and 100p! I like how they added twaron and stiffened them up a bit.
Prince is using Twaron an arimid fiber similar to Kevlar. By the way HEAD used Twaron starting in 1986 with the orginal Prestige Pro. It’s what made the Prestige Pro great and famous.
Because they don’t want to pay DuPont for the use of the word Kevlar.I checked my old Pro Staff 6.1. It says 80% Graphite/20% Kevlar.
Why don't these new Pro Staffs specify Kevlar percentages?
Because they don’t want to pay DuPont for the use of the word Kevlar.
Doesn’t say Kevlar anywhere. Says aramid???
I think the specs already mention "Kevlar" when it says something like "Braided Kevlar".
Doesn’t say Kevlar anywhere. Says aramid
“Although the description has changed (due to a licensing agreement), this racquet's braided composition has the exact same ingredients as the previous generation”
