Isospeed Cream / Control vs Volkl Cyclone

Hi all. I currently use Cyclone and I like it. I came across Isospeed online and wondering how the Cream or Control series would line up against Cyclone. Thoughts? I love taking huge cuts at the ball and have a pretty heavy topspin game. Thanks.

Used both. If you like Cyclone, then stick with it.

I came to the string forums because I was curious myself about Isospeed.

TW has crazy low prices on some Isospeed Polys. Is that because they’re just not any good?

I had heard good things about Cream, but mostly to hybrid with Gut I believe. Soft & smooth, not really a spin string, good to use as a cross from what I gather.

This one caught my eye, too. A whole reel for the price of 4 sets? What’s the catch?

IMO Cream plays more comfortable, has more power and holds tension better than cyclone.
Cyclone has better spin & control

Cream has much more power to it. It’s pretty unique because the feel is very soft but still has some control elements of a poly.

Personally I like Cyclone a lot more than cream because it has a grip on the ball that cream just doesn’t. Probably due to the shapes nature of cyclone. Cyclone also has a much crisper feel compared to cream. As a long time poly user, cream is so soft to me that I kinda felt like I lost the ball in the string bed.
