they can’t prove he faked covid but they took it all into account trust me… they didn’t want him there and they used whatever would work to get him out. he was a menace to society… either he faked it or he got covid at just the right time to be eligible for exemption & then he goes around infecting people. when he got to australia his travel documents said he hasn’t traveled anywhere in 14 days but there were pictures of him practicing in spain. he made alot of mistakes of course they kicked him out
that's not how courts and laws work. none of that was taken into account and the judgment had nothing to do with it. I watched both trials directly and read a lot about them. at the first trial, the judge even warned that he did not want any rumors and unproven speculations in court. the first trial was interrupted by the state lawyers themselves and they agreed to all the points of Nolet's team, but immediately warned that the Minister of Immigration has the right to deport him whenever he wants and without any justification. and advised him to leave the country on his own accord because otherwise he would face a three-year ban. he was released and trained at AO, only to be kicked out with a three-year ban just before the start of the tournament (the draw had already been made with him in). the second trial was just a formality and a farce because the minister has almost unlimited powers to do as he pleases.
however, all that hubbub did contribute to the awakening and expansion of many sentiments, although they were not decisive for the current changes, nor were they the sentiments that the minister referred to.
not long after, the following things happened:
1. the big OZIland lithium mining company lost a big contract in Serbia. there were protests against it a long time ago, but the opposition flared up with all the events surrounding the noles saga. and it is interesting that Nole himself has already supported the protests before all **** that hepened.
2. many refugees who languished for years in the same prison where Nole was detained and without any committed crime were released after their case came to the limelight thanks to a much more famous prisoner.
3. the government of that time lost the near upcoming elections, which is why they expelled Nole in order to get some votes on the negative mood of the masses against Nole who was vilified by the media.
