When we look at Alcaraz and Djokovic paths to Semifinal Clash

3R
Shapovalov and Davidovich Fokina. Shapovalov can make a lot of problems(AO22 vs. Nadal). Davidovich Fokina has game to fight but Djokovic, but at the end who can make suprise? More Shapovalov then Fokina
4R
Norrie and Hurkacz. Norrie its not easy match up for Alcaraz. Alcaraz lost with him in last meeting. Hurkacz? Funny nice guy, but too weak, no balls. He beat Federer, but the worst Federer in history. 2-0 for Alcaraz in tougher draw
QF
Tsitsipas and Rublev. Alcaraz takes control in match up with Stefanos, but Stef gonna make much much more harder road, than joke call Rublev. Rublev can take max 6 games with Djokovic. Just good training for Nole. 3-0 Alcaraz

So it seems the semifinal will be with fresh and peaking Djokovic vs. Alcaraz with a lot of hours in legs. The draw system should be change

Novak is obviously in OP's head 24/7 since he has to make a new account to talk more about Novak. That post history though, lol

I wonder what your main username is, must be even sadder. =(

Fokina on clay is a much tougher matchup than Shapovalov… is this a joke?

I’m not convinced Tsitsipas is dangerous to either Djokovic or Alcaraz, he plays like a neutered puppy against them, completely impotent.

Is it really that different? Musetti/Norrie are def tougher than the 4R Djokovic has, but i’d hardly call that an outrage. And after your Shapo > Fokina take I think you’re on drugs or at least have an agenda.

What are you smoking, op? Fokina is certainly a tougher opponent than Shapo and Hurkacz is more of a threat than Norrie. Tsitsipas and Rublev are equal this clay season.

Now that FAA is out, only Musetti stands out (in comparison) in Alcaraz's quarter.

Djokovic's 4th round got easier with RBA out and others playing long consecutive 5 setters.

That's the problem of looking at players the way you look at them instead of the rankings

Doing it randomly based on rankings is the only fair way. What you want players to be drawn against each other based on word of mouth when there would basically be a million conflicting opinions

There is little to nothing dumber in all of sports than the way tennis pairs seeds in their draws / brackets. I can’t think of a single sport other than tennis that requires the top seed to play #5 in the QF and then #3 in the semi-final. It should be 1 v 8, 2 v 7, 3 v 6 and 4 v 5 leading to 1 v 4 and 2 v 3. What other sport punishes the top seed like tennis does? Who came up with this? It’s incredibly stupid. I’m surprised Carlos and Novak don’t try to intentionally play for #2 so they can get easier draws at the slams.

Well betting odds certainly give much better chance to Fokina than Shapo. Rd 4 is easier for Djokovic and Qf we have to wait a lot of things can happen

Yeah, he was playing with one leg the last set.

Anyway. Better odds for Shapo vs Alcaraz than Foki vs Djo? You're smoking bad quality stuff.

That wouldn't work.

If players in the top 8 knew who they can face and who they can avoid in slams, they could strategically tank matches in the lead up events to get the right seeding for the slam. Imagine if Nadal was seeded and ranked 4, then players from 5 to 8 could potentially be looking to lose matches so they don't get ranked 5. This not only damages big events like Rome, but it also impacts betting, as many would take advantage of this.

You can make the same argument in any other sport, yet nobody else uses this ridiculous seeding system. If anything, a player in the top 8 would play harder knowing that if they improve their ranking they should get an easier draw in future tournaments. No way a #1 seed should have to play #5 in the quarters. It's unfair to both players.

Do not worry. In tennis you get to play everyone next week. Do not change anything in ATP, its perfect the way it is.

Again, I disagree. Too many chances for tanking matches which impacts the sport.
