Nole won his 100th ATP singles title at the Geneva tournament, becoming the third player in ATP Tour history to reach triple-digit number of singles titles, after Jimmy Connors (109) and Roger Federer (103).

Congratulations to Serbinator on this incredible milestone!!!

What a journey it has been to 100!!!!

Djokovic joins Connors and Federer in the 100 winners club.

The greatest, just got a little more greater.

Bring on the push for 25!!!
No player at that age can win best-of-five-set tournaments, and Djokovic will be no exception.
:D

dropping murray already paying off
Muz surely went too far trying to flog his left over granny ezone sticks to Djoko did it.

In all honesty, Murray could easily play doubles and climb to top 10 there

I have a feeling he withdraws on Monday from FO. Just got this sneaky feeling.

Novak for me had the face that this is enough somehow, content and reflective
If he chooses to just slum his way via 250 titles to beat Connors record, Id still respect
how difficult that feat would be in his position playing so much less than before.

You got all of them. Good job.

Title #100 finally ticked off, now for Slam #25, his sole remaining goal.
Do you think it's as difficult for a tennis player your age to win an ATP 250 tournament as it is to win a best-of-five-set tournament?
:sneaky:

He would eventually do it - I think his body language in matches he loses is always deceptive as he's always the type to make it look worse than it is.

So maybe he still has it in him to find decent match form and fitness for a year or two.

All of us are lucky to have seen this. It just doesnt happen that often in tennis that someone gets anywhere close to this achievement. It's a privelege to see history like this unfold, and we got a final that fit the occasion - it was high quality and hard fought in its own right.
Agreed. While Hubi did misfire on a few FHs in the last tiebreaker, I thought both Hubi and Novak hit and moved very well. A very good match.

(I feel a little bad for Hubi -- from all indications, he and Ruud may be the nicest guys on tour.)

Congrats to him but it took him so long to reach 100

Connors reached 100 titles at the age 31, Federer at 37 despite plaques with injuries and post surgeries

As soon as he fires Murray it gets better. Now he need to win 25 and 110. Both I think is theoretically doable. If he does this then even the biggest mental gymnastics cannot find anything of value which he doesn’t have. I don’t put too much stock into Connor’s 109 nor do I think it makes sense to compare Court’s 24 to Djoko’s but to shut even the dumbest critics down let him win those.

He had to deal with so many obstacles including tough competition.

Djokovic should have reached 100 a long time ago because he had a relatively easy road ahead
lol. As soon as he was > 35 he had to focus on slams and not play every stupid 250/500.
